Remember Ultra-man? Used to grace us in Detroit on TV20 when I was a kid.

We also used to have Johnny Sokko & his Flying Robot:

What about the shows which were on WXON 20 really late at night-- such as Benny Hill, Prisoner: Cell Block H, and Night Gallery?

I used to get out of bed and sneak to watch them, when I came up here to visit my grandma. They were my first exposure to scantily clad British birds and Australian prison bull-dykes; and getting the dickens scared out of me by Rod Serling with those creepy paintings and vignettes.. but I loved every minute of itl!

z0mg! Sir Graves Ghastly was my absolute #1 favorite show when I was a kid. I found out recently that he's still alive...

I was a big fan of the Channel 20 Thriller Double Feature, Hot Fudge, Ultraman, Johnny Sako, and the Mighty Heroes.

Let's not forget Tarzan, Johnny Quest, and Sheena.

PRISONER: CELL BLOCK H!!! I remember gleefully deconstructing each episode with my high school buddies. We were heartbroken when Frankie (?) bought it. What a kick-ass show... much grittier than any American-made TV of the time. Would be interesting to watch it now and see how well it stands the test of time.

I met Jim Harper/aka Charlie Lum after the show went off the air. He shut down the show due to pressure from the AsianAmerican community. They didn't like the character even tho it was a parody of some of the characters in the movies and of some old Hollywood archetypes from the 30's.
