Im not sure if this is the right forum to post in but anyways, heres whats going on.

Ever since saturday night when me and my girlfriend kind of gotten into it with someone we met a couple weeks ago. He constantly keeps texting us with his nonsense and to this day HE STILL WONT FUCKING STOP! I've grown really tired of him at this point and now I decided that its best if I block him from texting but the problem is, I dont know how. I never had to block someone from texting/calling us before until now. So im wondering if anyone knows how to block someone from texting your phone. I beg anyone to tell me how because he's driving us fucking nuts at this point.

You can't without completely removing texting from the phone completely. It sucks.

I get texts on my iPhone from someone wanting to connect with me on Yahoo ... I don't even have Yahoo. Whoever had the phone number before me somehow did something with the phone number. I've ran searches on my number and junk and come up with nothing.

Actually some phones had the option of blocking a number. I don't know if they still do it's best if you ask your service provider. Also it does not cost a penny to change your mobile # . So good luck!

EP is right. Call your Cell provider and let them know that someone is harrassing you. They will change your number for free. I know it kind of sucks, having to give everyone you know your # again. But its the only way the asshole is going to stop.

Good luck to you RB.

I am having a similar issue, only mine are calls early in the morning from a salt trucking company wanting to know where to deliver the salt, lol! I'm going to have to have my # changed before wintertime now because all my attempts at contacting every single salt contractor they have and telling them that is not the # have failed.

I hate having to change my # but sometimes that's your only choice.

When I had T-mobile, I had to block someone once. I just went into my online account, and added the number to my spam list and I didn't get messages from her anymore.

Change your #.....or just delete it when it comes up with that persons name.....

Also.....Be more selective with the people you give your # to..... =P

If I was not looking for a better job I would have gotten rid of my phone several months ago,IMO,phones suck, and this is one of the reasons I hate phones,e-mailing is alot better and its free

I've actually changed my number for this reason before. I've always been charged somewhere between $10 and $25.

You could always try a threat with the police as well. Next time he calls/texts, tell him that this is your last warning to him, before you file a harassment charge. That would usually make a person stop. If it doesn't go through with the charge. The first thing the police will do is call the person, and tell them the same thing. That makes them stop 99% of the time. If he persists after that, report it again. It will all be in the police's hands at that point. I had to go through something similar with my ex. Phone harassment is easy for the cops to handle. Email/online harassment is more of a pain in the ass.

On a lighter note. I have a "strange caller" story too. I call him my John. I just got my new phone/number about a month ago. Starting immediately, and continuing about once a week since. I get a call from a man in Salt Lake City, wanting to know how much I charge by the hour. LOL. It's way too funny to block right now. But I am sure I will get sick of it eventually.

I have had similar issues before as well bout 2 yrs ago one of my ex's kept calling my phone anonymously and giving my number to all his friends, I called the cops when he still persisted when I told him I was going to make a report. The cops calling him once did not stop it. I had to call the police twice on the immature "prankster" but wen the cops called the second time they told him if he didn't stop he'd be arrested for harassment...That stopped his "fun" in annoying me. So if he doesn't stop try that the only reason I didn't is he stopped texting me the next morn but trust me Sat when he was determined to ruin my night at the club i was pretty mad and considering it.

I have dealt with this awhile back, but considering I do not like having a phone,I will be getting rid of it very soon, with e-mailing, can block whoever is pissing me off, unlike phone companies its a P.I.T.A.!

Once I get a better job,the phone is gone.one less bill to deal with.

Time to go back to Smoke Signals.

T-Mobile has never charged me for changing #'s ever. I know they charge if your sim card is broken/stolen.. but I suppose it varies from company to company.

I've never had T-Mobile. My little brother was part of their frequency scam years ago and got out of his service with them when they dropped him when they signed him to an illegal frequency and wouldn't resign his contract. Totally turned me off from them.

I have had Sprint (mainly), Verizon and AT&T/Cingular though. We dropped Verizon and went back to Sprint last year. I had Sprint previously for about 6 years.

I got AT&T a couple years back (just an added line on my parents contract so I could talk to them and my best-friend for free) ... then I got an iPhone and I use it all the time for the internet connection away from home. It also negates my need for a PDA, or a SmartPhone through Sprint ... which is awesome ... simple phones are sooooo much cheaper.

So, I have two phones ... and have for awhile now.

Maybe T-Mobile doesn't charge you .... but I know Verizon, Sprint and Cingular (not sure since they merged with AT&T, I've had the same number) all charge.

There was this stupid ho who used to bug me all the time with her shenanigans. Even if you block them they just call you or text from another phone. Thats what she did. She used to say the dumbest shit into my voice mail. You can always get a restraining order because they are harassing you. Any how the worst thing that HO did was give my number to a bunch of skeezy guys and then they were calling me all day and making nasty comments. Some people are just so stupid and should be kicked off the planet!

I had to call sprint and was on the phone with them for a half hour getting someone blocked a while ago. Pain in the ass.

Hahaha! Actually that wouldn't be a bad idea!

Well I guess he finally stopped bugging us with his immature texting now so theres no need to worry about it. But thanks for all y'alls advise though, if he still would've kept bothering me then I'd considered doing one of the things y'all was suggesting.
