I'm sincerely hoping that he doesn't go with mix tapes or mix CDs because I can't stand hearing the same mix over and over again. On the other hand, you can potentially plan the perfect night. I once ran the calculations... 16-32 mix CDs should be enough to last about two months without repeating a mix.
