Homicidalheathen Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 My dad told me I HAD to get the birds nest out of the gutter NOW so I did. There were 3 about to hatch babies. I feel bad now. This is only the 3rd death I have ever been responsible for...well x3 cause there were 3 of them...

This is only the 3rd death I have ever been responsible for...well x3 cause there were 3 of them... Awwwww! What sort of birds were they? Purple martins, sparrows, or wrens? I'm such an Ellie Mae, I would have tried to raise the eggs! Have you ever hatched foundlings before? It's hard work, but rewarding. All you need is a good supply of earthworms and mealworms, and a lot of time and patience! P.S. If you still have unbroken eggs, I will take them off your hands.
Homicidalheathen Posted June 12, 2008 Author Posted June 12, 2008 yah I tried the hatchling thing before but they died...actually it was my moms project...she was always 'saving' things from out of the woods. Once our cat brought home baby rabbits and tried to nurse them...they died. Oh and they were sparrows.
