One thing I wondered about was , on the BSG logo it says "BSG 75" at the bottom and has said that since the pilot episode. They never mention it in the show itself but I always was curious what it meant exactly.

From Wiki

Galactica entered service in the early years of the Cylon War, under the command of Commander Nash. During her service, Galactica formed a part of Battlestar Group 75 (BSG 75), a Colonial force described by series creator Ronald D. Moore as a mixed-force of vessels somewhat similar to a US Navy carrier battle group.

Pegasus was the Flag vessle in the group. I assume that last bit because Pegasus has the same logo and was commanded by an Admiral.

OK... Now that I'm part way through season 2: Does it annoy anyone that they totally changed the beginning credits and such? They do this to a lot of shows. It pisses me off.

I dig the 2nd theme way more than the first....

Pegasus did have the BSG 75 logo? Cool, didn't catch that. *files away in mental geeknotebook*

I'm still not caught up on season 4... just havent gotten around to it. Been absorbed in other geekdoms, will have to get on it eventually though.

I feel about this the same as minor facelifts on cars - A waste of time and money that usually results in a worse product. (I'm an automotive designer BTW)

I wouldn't say it pissed me off, but it did annoy me, until I started Season 3 and just stopped caring about it, in favor of starting to hate most of the characters.

Wow. Show just keeps getting better in terms of quality from most accounts. A lot of the characters are not so one-sided as they where and most every single one has some sort of major negative flaw surrounding them, which usually is a sign of a good show for most of us geeks.

The effects are as good as ever, the characters are more complex than ever, the storyline is about as complex as it always was but its starting to "converge" which is usually considered a good, tension building thing.

Best show on TV still.

CAPRICA Trailer:

http://www.scifi.com/battlestar/video/inde...mp;sub=specials

That is 50 ish years before BSG starts. Before the first cylon war (the current one being the second war) Life on the colony/planet Caprica before there were proper cylons.

Set in the same universe as BSG but a totally different show not really related to BSG in style/storyline other than it has a few (very young) versions of some of the older (age wise) BSG characters. Trailer looks not so hot, but they have most all the same producers and such as for BSG. Hopefully it wont suck.

I just finished the end of season 2 last night. Like whoa. Talk about a big change in a short time.

Probably the two episodes of season 2 and the first 4 of season 3 are basically all one story arc. The first 4 episodes of season 3 sort of "finish up" that storyline started at the end of season 2 that whole section really kicks ass (well so does pretty much the whole show but that section in particular). You'll enjoy it.
