Homicidalheathen Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 From being accused of a heroin addict for nodding off at work...to taking pills (which I hate and wont do anymore) to not being able to drink caffine now and no alcohol....its helping I don't like Aderral anymore its addictive and makes ya weird. Now its getting so bad I may lose my right to drive. I had to have a cop follow me home yesturday. They wanted to finish my sleep clinic and put me on restricted lisence. May just stay home a lot now so i don't fall asleep at the wheel anymore.
Miranda Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 I can imagine Narcolepsy is a terrible condition to suffer from. I empathize with you. I suppose the best thing to do is what the sleep clinic advises. Falling asleep at the wheel is just so dangerous for everyone, especially you. If you did get into an accident, you could have even more problems and I just don't think that would be worth it. I can imagine it feels you would be so dependent on someone and that's very hard to deal with for some people when you are independent innately. I wish the best possible outcome for you in this situation.
Homicidalheathen Posted June 23, 2008 Author Posted June 23, 2008 I feel 75 percent better just abstaining from caffine and alcohol. Its will power. As soon as I have a drink or two I just want to konk out. I have always been that way. Its easy in the club with dancing and um distractions to keep me awake but then on the ride home...ugh.
