They were just born this morning so they have to stay with the mother for about 6 weeks but they are sooo adorable I couldn't wait to post pictures of them! We have 3 orange kittehs and one black&white one.

I grew up on a farm and we had 2-3 litters a year. I LOVE them when their eyes just open and they have little triangle tails! If your cat trusts you, you should be able to handle them. I would pet her while she's with them and if she's ok, pet them, and if she still seems to not be upset, pick them up one at a time, do tail checks, cuddle. I found that the early you start to maul them the more friendly they are as adults.

She lets me pet them a little but she gets feisty when I try to pick them up (mostly cuz they start mewing as soon as they away from mom)

Same boat, I think. I'm sure Cheeto would love a playmate (though he might play too rough for a kitten), but my apartment I don't think will allow multiple cats. I'd have to look into it.

Most places allow 2. I can have 2. LOL If I told them about my 2, which I do not plan to do anytime soon.
