Absolutely fantastic show. My first Peter Murphy or Bauhaus, but not the last!! I am a very happy happy girl!!! :D Peter Murphy is amazing!!!!!

I was very happy to meet up with the two fine gentlemen who posted above me, despite not meeting others who I hoped to see (I mean you Marc!!! I wanted to thank you in person for the hookup!), as well as Becky, and had a smashing time. What a great night!! I'm so glad I could make it.

We kept an eye out for you, but I didn't see you. :-(

We had a good time, too. Saw a number of other DGNers and friends. Peter sounded good, although up close to the stage the vocals weren't as clear as further back. I thought the band was OK but a little too "Rock&Roll-ish" compared to how the songs sound on CD or with the band Peter toured with some years ago.

The sound guy should be shot! Even Peter was noticeably irritated. I now officially really dislike that venue. But, on the up side, it was Peter Murphy! His voice..... :drool We were up nice and close enough to see that Peter wears his package on the right side. Yes, there is something seriously wrong with me, but I wasn't the only one to notice. It was nice meeting some new people and seeing some others again. I hope you continued to enjoy your birthday festivities, Saechalyn, and thanks again for the best compliment ever

Weird and sad!! We were in the first and second row just to the left of the middle. I was walking around looking kinda like a lost puppy dog for the 30 minutes before the show started trying to catch the eye of anyone who looked remotely like your avatar, but unfortunately the picture's just really small so I couldn't tell. D: Oh well - next time!!

Nonetheless, thanks a lot for the forward - I have an interview later today! :)

I thought the show was amazing. I also noticed what Ice Queen noticed, but I didn't say anything about it. haha I only saw it from way up front so I'm not sure about the relative clarity, but yeah, it was a bit muffled I thought.

You weren't far from us. We were right in the middle, not too far back. I might catch you at work before your interview.

Overall, it was a pretty good show, I thought, filled with pretty good people.

A note of thanks, again, to everyone who complimented my hair last night. It's all in the stylist, folks.

Oooh also I just had to say - I was so psyched driving home afterward with the full moon shining so brightly! What a lovely accent to a lovely evening!

Sad I missed it.

I was too busy at the Silver Apples concert at the Scrummage. Not much interest in a tired Peter Murphy. Bauhaus songs without the rest of the band? Lame.

peter murphy was anything but tired if you had went to the show you would have known that. but since you didnt go you have no idea wat you are saying and peter murphy is bauhaus. this thread is for the people who went to this show not for comments from the uninformed

Bwaahahaha! Thanks. I don't think I would have shown as much restraint.

Harsh. Not cool man. If you don't respect Peter Murphy, that's fine - don't go. Like you did. Good. Leave it at that. No need to show off your lack of taste.

Lack of taste? The Loto Ball Show are a great aspiring gothic/ no-waveish band which would have been just as worthy to see. (Ex-Phantom Limbs)Peter Murphy is good, but he is NOT the band; Bauhaus. Daniel Ash is just as important. :D So step off.

here is another person that just doesnt get it. This thread is for the people who went to the peter murphy concert i have explained it in plain english if you started a thread about the show you went to i would not post in it. BECAUSE I DIDNT GO TO THAT SHOW! futhermore daniel ash is talented and an amazing performer but without peter murphy bauhaus would be nothing. since you didnt go to this show and seen this amazing performance by "the father of this scene". you are the one who needs to step off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I never implied any lack of worth of that band. I simply said that Peter Murphy is not tired and is still amazing to see, with or without Bauhaus. Saying it's lame to see just Peter Murphy implies, to me, a lack of taste. Coming on the thread to show off such opinion in the faces of those who obviously believe otherwise implies the same. Hence my comment.

Plus I 'stepped on' after Deadbeat, so the only one throwing stones was him, not us. ;) I might like the other band, and I am always interested in new music - but the Peter Murphy show kicked ass and was very very worth going to. :D

Honestly, Peter Murphy's solo work is no where near is good as his work with Bauhaus. I love it when people base their opinions on bands based on only the lead singer. Peter Murphy only writes the lyrics, not the catchy tunes that flow along with their songs. "Father of the scene"?? Ha.

i still dont understand why you are posting in this thread! i do not base bands soley on the frontmen. i guess it just really bothers you that someone can have an opinion that you dont agree with. this is dgn where the goths are supposed to network. your tit for tat routine is boring me. your the kind of person who needs to drink a nice hot cup of shut the fuck up

Honestly kiddo, I've probably listened to more gothic rock/deathrock music in a week than you have in your entire lifetime. I don't really care about your opinion in music.. and by insulting me; you're just making yourself seem like more of an ass.

I probably would have gone to the show, though if there were people like you at the show; I'm glad I didn't.

The show was full of crusty, old farts who haven't a clue about music, compared to your wealth of knowledge and experience. It's a good thing you didn't come.

I've never heard the song... is it the one he did with Agoria? Pretty sure he didn't.

look i am no kid im not about to get in a pissing contest with a complete ass like your self i have been in this scene far too long to let ignorant people like you get to me and if you are so mature than you shouldnt have posted in this thread to begin with you act like a high schooler throwing a hissy fit because your parents didnt buy you what you wanted. as far as insults you are the one that came on this thread with an offensive tone. notice how dj deadbeat has not posted anything sense his last post he has let it go and moved on if you are so mature(which i doubt you will reply to this im sure) you will do the same
