Troy Spiral (13) Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Begins to TEMPT Troy tremendiously!! Nothing like the smell of fresh baked raid in the morning on a weekend... I mean, come on...who really wants to go out and party? Pft! I am just looking out for you man! That is money that you DONT have to spend because you are AT HOME playing WOW! (Grins...Can't you just SEE my evil nature and why I am FOR THE HORDE!!!) I actually did save a lot of money when I was playing WoW. Not that my health or social life did anything but get worse! hah. In other news.. I just bought a T-Shirt that says "Horde!" on it with the horde crest. I actually played both sides fairly extensively pre-burning crusade. I don't really care either way (horde or alliance). Didn't really matter all that much, horde at that time was slightly harder to play, but it was more about the specific group of guildies you got in with rather than whatever paperdoll you were playing with. But now with the advent of blood elves (so all the massive loads of people that wanted to play an elf can play an elf on horde, who would have otherwise played alliance to play the elf) the numbers I'm sure have evened out, along with both sides having essentially the same classes and abilities now, its just more like red team vs blue team. Not that thats a problem.
ManicQueen Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 I play on the Chromaggus realm.. 70 Undead Warlock, Namanta. I've been respecing this one to get the perfect PvP build for the past couple of weeks... not easy! I also have two other low lvl alt's, Hazmat and Dertay. I play on teh daily
Timata Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Ok, as far as which server would be "DGN's" we have to consider a couple things, 1. whats the popular vote on PVP vs. Normal server type? 2. What faction would everyone roll? 3. If we get 5 or more on said server, it would be best to have all the group roles sorted out, you know . . . Tank, Healer, 3 dps (I tend to favor healing, but can make a decent tank) I see that godfallenpromos and mrs~chi~vious are up for a dgn realm, anyone else? (my vote is cast for 1. pvp, 2. horde, and 3. i can be heals) If your interest post your preferences then we can make a guild up.

I'm guessing in terms of the whole "gothy" type people horde would be the faction. PvP vs Non PVP I have no idea what the vote would be. My preference , even though i've always played on PVP servers, would be non-pvp, just less stressful. I like pvp but once the kiddies start shit talking and you have to argue over "OK are we gonna raid for non-pvp gear or pvp gear? Are we gonna spec for pvp or non pvp and the inetivable arguments over what we should do starts to get old. I'd have to play more causally though. If we start making a guild and such, I'll end up organizing raids every night and reading strats and basically having a full time job running the guild bank, raids and recruiting haha.

I'm still doing an ass load of BG's just to work on Honor and all that good stuff.
GothicRavenGoddess (3) Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 okay, this is going to make me wanna play EVEN MORE! http://www.piengineering.com/landing/wow.php

If we start making a guild and such, I'll end up organizing raids every night and reading strats and basically having a full time job running the guild bank, raids and recruiting haha. Here is my two Cents, as I am the one that started this... 1. Horde (preferred ~ but we can do either I guess...) 2. I am usually a DPS (Hunter) or Tank (Paladin) sometimes caster (Warlock, or Shaman) currently trying out a Druid and a Mage as well. I have the MOST exp. as a tank, or hunter though. 3. PLEASE No PVP! I so agree with Troy on this! It usually ends up in a big fight over who gets what, and blah blah blah... 4. This needs to be a CASUAL thing for those who want to join in. SOME PEOPLE (but not me! ) actually have lives that do NOT involve spending every waking second playing games online... Personally? I weep and my heart breaks a little for those poor poor unaddicted souls! 5. (Side note to Troy) As I am the one who opened up this Pandora's Box, I will be HAPPY to be the head of the Guild! I haven't ever done that before and I wanted to!!!! As I am on all of the time, every spare second I get when R/L doesn't get in the way... When you are old and married, you LOVE escaping your everyday hum drum exsistance...hehe (BTW I am kidding about that!) True, I am older AND married, but I do not consider myself to be boring either! So there is my two cents for what it is worth 2 yas! MCV P.S. (Side note to Troy) Sounds like we ordered the same shirt! FOR THE HORDE!!!!!! haha we just have to make sure we do not show up to the same places wearing the same shirt...then again...
Guest GodfallenPromos Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 much love to the horde!!! All the alliance ppl I ever teamed up with cry too much....Horde characters tend to be in the line of "damnit..we died...ok..everyone regroup and lets try this again!!"... and when it comes to leveling...I LOVE how all the BE quests are kinda in groups. "Ok...we need you to do these 5 things, but there all in THIS particular area...have at"...so your not going "umm...ok....I gotta go here...here....there...here...fly there....over here...and....maybe find a way to portal there..."...which seems to be what ALL the other races have...lol....thank blizzard for BE...lol I might even look into transfering Benedar over to whatever realm we choose....jsut because I don't wanna loose him...and he is my only character...I don't really like having more then 2 or 3...

Didn't mean to be super serious about it, i am pretty much casual anymore. If I made this seem non-casual, I apologize. I just wanted to get conversation going on what server would be ours because I saw that a few people were down for it, but no one was saying which server it would be. But I see that the consensus is a normal realm horde-side, so any suggestions?
Angel of Death Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Considering none of my horde are over lvl 20...I don't care what server we use...IF for some reason we were using alliance I'd suggest Garona (But that's just because I have a full toon list and a lvl 60 druid on that server). Considering we will be using horde though I don't care what server we use just as long as it's not a pvp realm...I normally play healer but I've been using a lot of spell casters lately like a mage or a shadow priest. Just lemme know what server to make me a toon on and give me toon names. I'm down for just about anything...and fyi I am a WoW nerd lol.
Timata Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Is anyone already established on a pve realm horde side? I'm open to any server seeing that all my toons are on pvp servers.
MyViolentMachine Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 I am on hiatus from WOW. And it may stay that way until the expansion. That game took up for too much time. 2 raiding lvl 70's and one of every other class over lvl 50 on the Runetotem server. I would still be playing if the guild had not fallen apart but it is for the better...for now...
Troy Spiral (13) Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 You say this like it's a problem Ultimately for Arena's, eventually. I'm still doing an ass load of BG's just to work on Honor and all that good stuff. "You say that like its a problem" hah. I used to tell people I didn't want to hear any talk about this "real life" stuff.. what.. you mean WoW isn't real life??? What is this "life" stuff you speak of? Yeah grinding for pvp gear is a real pain in the ass. Getting the top-teir gear is near impossible if you have a life. 3. PLEASE No PVP! I so agree with Troy on this! It usually ends up in a big fight over who gets what, and blah blah blah... P.S. (Side note to Troy) Sounds like we ordered the same shirt! FOR THE HORDE!!!!!! haha we just have to make sure we do not show up to the same places wearing the same shirt...then again... NONPVP-RP is the best server choice to keep the arguments, and interaction with assholes to a minimum. The average age on the non pvp , rp servers (even if we have no intention of ever actually roleplaying.. which i really don't) is far, far higher than on the rest of the wow servers. Well at least whoever is running the show has to be fairly hardcore, cant have a guild leader that has random chaff characters and isn't online all that much. The rest of the guild can be all casual but at least the boss has to be fairly wow-centric. much love to the horde!!! All the alliance ppl I ever teamed up with cry too much....Horde characters tend to be in the line of "damnit..we died...ok..everyone regroup and lets try this again!!"... and when it comes to leveling...I LOVE how all the BE quests are kinda in groups. Kinda just have to assume everyone is max level. If we play for more than a few months we will all be max level. Have to construct the ideas based around "what will we be doing once we cant level anymore" becasue it comes faster than you'd think. There will always be a push-pull between the more or less casual types. Even within "casual" its a question of what does casual actually mean? For some people "casual" is still like 40 hours a week, just with a lot of screwing around and not being all that serious about gearing up and such. Also we'd have to come up with some way to have people at least somewhat of the same level or there wouldn't be much point. My key issue would be having a ventrillo server. Typing out communications in the middle of a fight is really a pain in the ass for me anymore. Got to used to barking orders into 40 man raids to want to have to stop and type hehe. Theoretically I'm thinking an RP server of some sort (not for RP, but for the limitation it puts on idiot kids), and we all start new characters and try to somehow have "mains" that are of similar level.
Nienna Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Cenarian Circle is a decent server, several peeps from the scene on there too. I'm not switching, trying too hard to level so I can raid again.
Raev Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 I only play during the cold months (have a condition that keeps me away from cold weather, so 8 months out of the year I have to be indoors >< )... but when I am playing, I have on Wildhammer (pvp) 70 Undead Warrior, T5 or better gear. 70 blood elf rogue, pvp/welfare purples 70 Undead Warlock, Kara/Gruuls gear.

Never thought of it that way, otherwise i might have been on an rp realm in the first place. any thoughts on how to keep everyone near the same level? We could level via instancing, in 2.3 with the leveling changes they did improve the instance xp. I haven't experimented with it since i'm so used to soloing.
mrs~chi~vious Posted June 27, 2008 Author Posted June 27, 2008 Drum roll please..... Here is my list of toons and what server I am on.... Nevah - BE - lv 8 Mage Dieniera - Und - lv 1 warlock Dranorea - DWF - lv 1 Pally Daintie - Tau- lv 1 Druid Delieliah - Drni - lv 10 Hunter Donia - BE lv 1 Hunter Ta-Dah!!!!! Blade's Edge is an OK server. People don't really help you out if you get stuck on something, or need to know where to find like a certain kind of merch or person. GRRRR MCV

Basicly we'd have to just have a dedicated group that agrees to play on X night(s) at X time and to try and get their ass in gear if they fall behind. The more hardcore of us would have alts we would play on when the main gang is not online. But really, if we just crack everyones ass to play more, we'll all be level 70 and it wont be an issue after a few months. Drum roll please..... Here is my list of toons and what server I am on....
