Troy Spiral (13) Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 I wouldn't really get attached to anything under level 50. Can pretty much switch servers at will, the time "re-investment" is minimal. And depending on what type of server your on, if your REALLY attached to something, it might be transferable anyway.
Guest GodfallenPromos Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 wowhead.com bookmark it DEFINATELY....not only do I have an account over there....but It's the BEST site to find out about quest's, items, etc...
Angel of Death Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 DEFINATELY....not only do I have an account over there....but It's the BEST site to find out about quest's, items, etc... Really?? I always use Thottbot...
Goth Brooks Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 thottbot isn't nearly as easy to navigate, it isn't updated as fast, and it's interface blows goats.

Troy Spiral (13) Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Thottbot died or is not well supported anymore? Whoa. (Haven't been serious about WoW for over a year)
MyViolentMachine Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Hmm, well i only stopped playing wow like 2 months ago but thottbot was still very reliable. I used multiple ones and wowhead is also quite good.
nilhil_glory Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 nah im big into SWG as an mmo, one of the last who still play it... a lot of people i know are switching to AoC tho =/
Troy Spiral (13) Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 I played SWG for a bit, I had high hopes but it just didn't do it for me. The Star Wars theme can only prop up a mediocre game for so long. A lot of the star wars games seem to be really mid-range with the exception of Knights Of The Old Republic which is stellar. The star wars RTS game i thought would be awesome, but its a joke compared to the other choices available. :(
nilhil_glory Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 they changed it a lot when they had a combat upgrade, besides its the only game I know of where you can pvp and pwn people in space with your own starfighter while still giving it your own feel/look with the parts, paint and such you put on it =) and i still can collect peoples heads as a bounty hunter mwahaha
mrs~chi~vious Posted July 25, 2008 Author Posted July 25, 2008 Nothing ever came of this? I'm so sad. :( me too! :(
Goth Brooks Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 never does, been plenty of wow threads on here.
Nienna Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 Heh popped 2 levels last night... Getting dragged through Ubers as a 52! LOL Thottbot.com is still just fine, I use it daily.
Goth Brooks Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 Some fun for you guys to have. Level a rogue to 60, then use them for nothing but alterac valley. Good times.
Jinonfire Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Hate to bring up dead posts but does anyone still play? Im bored with my current game (eve-online) and my girlfriend made a mistake and mentioned that WoW looked cool and she would like to play it. So I jumped on it. Still thinking on what kind of a server to join.

Im bored with my current game (eve-online) and my girlfriend made a mistake and mentioned that WoW looked cool and she would like to play it. So I jumped on it. Troy Spiral (13) Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 I'm trying very hard to stay away from wow-prooper as it wrecks my already non-existant personal life. But I will probably be playing (becasue its cheap, and "real life social") the World Of Warcraft Miniatures Game that is comming out in november. Although only as a dabbler as MTG will remain my "main" game.
Jinonfire Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Whats MTG? I was thinking of a RP server like moon guard since she likes that character stuff, definetly not a pvp server , I dont want her to quit the same day cause she kept getting ganked. We just dont have much in common and I was thinking this would be a good idea for us.
Goth Brooks Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 IF you are going to play WOW. Play PVP or don't play. I'm playing Warhammer: Age of Reckoning, it's much more better funnerest.
Gauge Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 i play as of recently. im only lvl 10 right now tho
Jinonfire Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Pvp was out of the question as I want to enjoy the game without haveing to keep constantly explaining to her why the night elves dont like us and what pwned means. We started some blood elf hunters on the earthen ring server with the names ,Chanktah and Relaseri. were not even lvl 10 yet but I think i may have found an activity that we both enjoy.

We just dont have much in common and I was thinking this would be a good idea for us. MTG is Magic:The Gathering IF you are going to play WOW. Play PVP or don't play. I'm playing Warhammer: Age of Reckoning, it's much more better funnerest. I was fairly hardcore into the PvP when I played, i probably spent 1000 hours at various forms of world and battleground pvp along with being in the best high level raiding guild on the server at the time (pre burning crusade). But all the idiot kids and immature personalities that are attracted to such servers got old, I only stayed because I had a lot of friends on the server. If i was going to re-start I'd play on a non-pvp RP server just to keep the jerkoff factor to a minimum. The non pvp and the RP aspect (even if we, like most people, have no intention of actually roleplaying) attracts a more mature player base. I like pvp, Its just not worth it in an RPG for me due to all the morons i have to deal with. For some HARDcore rpg pvp , and when i say RPG pvp, i mean, getting "ganked" takes on a whole new meaning, not just a run back to the spawn point: play tibia.com death HURTS LIKE HELL there and it makes for some really intense pvp.
Jinonfire Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 I played WoW on a pvp server before and ran into the same issues, I work too much and have too few hours to enjoy the game, so i cant afford to waste 25 min getting corpse camped. I ended up selling the account and playing eve-online for a few months, and now once again the WoW monster has claimed most free time that I dont have any plans made for.
