Hi all,

Sorry if this ends up formatting weirdly - I'm still getting used to the interface here.

My name is James, I'm a new transplant to a sub-division in Ypsilanti. Originally I'm from Ohio but with the exception of a brief stint in Scotland I've been in New England for the past decade. I'm a doctor doing my residency at the U of M - which feels a lot like school, only more stressful but without cheerleaders. No kids, but I do live with a psychotic cat and occasionally with my archaeologist friend Kate when I can drag her back from the exotic locales where she's digging stuff up. Sadly, work doesn't allow for a ton of free time, but I spend a lot of time narcissistically working out (indoors to maintain my unhealthy pallor) and hope to be able to take advantage of all the goth/punk nights in Detroit. The last weekly one in Connecticut New Haven closed over a year ago. Looking forward to meeting some of you all in person.

We are a wealth of knowledge about Michigan, things to do, things to waste time with, places to go, people to do..err I mean umm..people to meet.

Anywho.. take a look at our Events Calendar

If you're free on some Saturday, please come meet a lot of us at City Club, in Detroit.

Near you, there's Necto on Monday nights.. :)

      About to head up to Roseville to return this rental and pick up my truck from the auto shop.  It is supposedly sporting a newly fabricated frame rail...I don't think they are referred to as "chassis" anymore as I see the confusion in shop owner's eyes when they ask me if I'm looking for "body work?".   But I do find it interesting that I told the owner that I worked direct with OEM parts and yet he still wrote me up an invoice with overpriced OEM parts from companies I used to host at the place I used to work for.  With that said, I'm expecting a stellar job for the amount I paid.   ...else, there will be some talk negotiations.

      ~~~~~ Definitely wishing you luck.  Do enjoy yourselves.   But I have to admit, the first thing that came to mind was does roadside assistance reach the desert? 😬
      ~~~~~ Yeah, it's like something happened to my metabolism this past Winter and when I came out of hibernation, that AARP Join Request started looking like something to check into.

      This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...
