My piggies have Bdays this week! (yes... pigs!)

This is a topic about my pigs they are so incredibly adorable and two of thier Bdays are this weekend Muta ("Moodah"...who is bat-pig on the pic below) is going to be 4 on the 8th. we call him "big pig" because hes a "big brother" to the piglets but is also 150lbs lol. he sleeps with us in bed every night. yup... 150lb pig sleeping BETWEEN us (and he sleeps with his butt on the pillows lol) every night. we stole all his precious dirty laundry at the foot of the bed so hes pissed lol.

Pickle is our "Monster Pig" or "Middle Pig" and hes a monster lol. Hes a very naughty boy! likes to jump on the coffee table and steal food when you arent looking. we try to punish him for it but he doenst care lol. pigs are very smart. they are the 4th smartest creature in the world under dolphins and whales, and they have the IQ of a three-year-old human child. Its more like raising a toddler than a pet. VERY HIGH MAINTENANCE!!! I'll post a picture of Pickle with his head stuck in a box lol. I put peanutbutter and treats in it and taped it all to hell. he got the tape off and is stuck inside trying to get the peanutbutter lol.

Vinnie is the little piglet that is stuck with the blanket around his head in the pic. they like to make holes in blankets (better than they used to be... ripped up Jeff's hand-made pillow cases that his mom made us for Xmas... they got the crap beat out of them lol... you think its curel, but we arent that bad and pigs will beat eachother into submission in the wild and in herds in captivity, but MOSTLY they get time outs.. Vinnie gets locked in the bathroom and put in the bathtub lol... hes been very naughty lately! and by "beating" we mean we smack thier noses and spank them or pick them up and make them squeel lol... its not like we kick them or beat them up!) anyway... Vinnie got his head thru the hole in the blanket and it looked like a virginal dress lol soooo CUTE! we actually spoil our pigs and treat them really well. Vinnie will be 1 in october.

Pickle and Vinnie were both rescue pigs. Vinnie was dumped on us and we are his 4th family and got him at 10 weeks! all because no one wanted to get him neutered and an un-neutered "boar" (as they are called) is impossible to work with and is soooo stinky!!! pigs breed because it feels good, like people, not just for mating purposes. and Boars spray baby juice EVERYWHERE! its soooo nasty! and they are very agressive and hard to potty train before they are neutered too. we got Vinnie neutered and he bacame a cute little lap-piggy hes still a lap piggy at his 60lb self lol likes to land on Jeff's "stuff" jumping into his lap on the chair lol Piclle was going to be euthenized because the b*tch of a lady wanted $50 for him or eutheniz fhim for free. He is half wild-boar (which doenst effect personality like people think, a pig is a pig and its how they are raised) because hes got a long nose and long legs. but his mum was a potbelly. Muta is full pot too, they dont stay small people! and a "miniature or teacup" potbellied pig donesnt exist. they are all the same breed.

and very high maintenace... and like raising a three year old for 20 years... very nice, very trainable (even little box--course "litter box mean news paper in a plastic box, not actual litter), VERY clean.

thanks. I know somepeople ust freak out about any hitting of an animal. I think a good smack on the nose or rump does them good lol. definately keeps Pickle fromjumping atyour food! hes a total hog lol (I love my pig puns -teehee) they also get "time-outs"...no joke! it reallyworks! pigs are the 4th smarted animal in the world. right under dolphinsand whales. they have the IQ of a 3y/o child, like raven said. but it makes them EXTREMELY high maintenace. morelike a toddler than a pet:) people arealways "I hear they are like dogs" andIm like...only if your dog knows how open the fridge and knowshow to close it on demand without teachinghimto do so!!! Muta usedto make a gameof it when he waslittlelol. hed open the fridge so I could hear it, and I'd yell fromthe other room "SHUT THAT DOOR!" and hed shut it... then hed opening it and Id yell "SHUT THAT DOOR!" and hes close it again. he did this overand overtilI got up to pay attention to him lol. this happened fromday one of the fridge, nevertaught him the comands. pigs actually understand everything you say in normal voice. justlike alittlekid would. they just dont knwo bacon and pork because they werenevertaught whatthosewordswere. the pet trick chamion of the worldfor 7 years running was apig namedNellie. last timeI talked to her owner, she was up to 44 different words she could spell. and NOT just aranging the right letters! very smart
