We shall have to see how he places in the compitition.

If he is somehow getting a higher percentage of fuel to be burn... he would get better millage. I am just not sure what he would have to do to get a higher rate of burn.

There was speculation at the site that linked to the original article that the guy was only counting the gas portion of the E85 mix the car burns... Haa.. Nice try.

"No no no, this sucker's electrical. But I need plutonium to create the 1.21 gigagwatts necessary to generate enough power to...."

"1.21 GIGAWATTS!!!"

Yeah, that thing gets 80 miles per gallon. A four hundred horse power street beast that weighs thousands of pounds gets justs eight miles less per gallon than my 308 pound curb weight one and a half braking horse power Kymco Agility 50.

I WILL EAT MY SHOE IF THAT TURNS OUT TO BE TRUE.

I will hold you to that.

... I had better start wearing, or at least owning gingerbread shoes.

I'm quite curious about this, being an auto performance enthusiast.

I also have some technical background too.

I think he must have engineered some real high-fallootin system to control the spark energy and spark timing, along with more precise fuel metering, in order to achieve this as well.

That and it doesn't say what kind of transmission this car has.

Not to mention, what is the gear ratio in the rear axle ?

A 6 speed manual can make a car significantly fuel efficient.

I would also hazard a guess that he played around with the camshaft specs and cylinder head specs too.

It will be interesting to see if this claim comes to pass, but I honestly think that making that kind of power, he couldn't get more then say 28mpg at best, but we'll see.

Nitrous oxide injection kits can make as much as 250 horsepower, at the flick of a switch yanno.
