I witnessed a baby starling learning to fly for the first time, this morning.

I am so glad I was actually awake early enough to witness this small miracle.

It was a small miracle that the phones went down at work to day for 5 hours!!! boss ordered pizza for us!..Such an easy day!

And to think I was going to call in!!!

Thunderstorm!!

OK.. So maybe not a miracle but still spectacular!

I got through today needing only minimal help at my new job!

a miracle!

LOL

Death. A family came to terms and allowed their loved one to go, peacefully and comfortably, instead of having us pound on their chest (CPR) and shove a tube down their throat for a ventilator. They then thanked us for the care given to their loved one and to them.

My kitty, Ryuu actually didn't fight over the top of the computer screen! (he's such a bully to our little princess, Shin) :) but I loves my baby...

Posted

My two boy kittehs sat in my lap TOGETHER today, and gave each other kisses..usually they'll start to buck, even in my lap.

This IS a miracle.

I'm a crazy cat lady, too.. :p

*giggles*

you said kitty... my mind wondered...

anyways!

another miracle (so's not to get off topic), i am actually getting sleepy...

just kidding... major: I am not wigging out, as much, emotionally as i was two days ago... i am getting better at dealing w/ my crazy emotions... which is good, considering I have a hormone imbalance... :\

Not to cheese up the place or anything, but for real, every day I look at my babies and I think what little miracles they are.

That any my boss was like WAY complimentary about me yesterday, to OTHER bosses, even (including Captain Fun, who is neither a Captain nor Fun). He was all like 'Explain your problem to Sass. If she can't fix it, then it just can't be fixed'

Wow.

Never expected THAT.

Oh yeah, and my banana bread that I baked turned out SPEC-FREAKING-TAC-U-LECIOUS!!!!!

Babies crying, boss props, and good toothsome banana bread are FAB reasons to celebrate the day.. :)

I'm with ya.

heh.. see, when the phones go down at work we're fucked.. While everyone else at work is standing there thinking.. YES this is less for us to have to do.. *I* am in there thinking.. how do I get the phones back.. and do it. heh I suck. I cannot stop myself from working. I think everyone else I work with hates me at this point, because I always seem to find a way to get us up, even temporarily till the powers that be (utility companies) get us up and running.

On a side note, my bosses love me..

1. Life is beautiful.. as close to a miracle as I can think of. (and I don't believe in miracles). Either way, I think about it, and it takes my breath away.

2. I love how you have cute names for everyone. My ex used to have a way of doing this, and it always entertained me.

3. *runs in and steals the banana bread* heheheh jk.. recipe?

Ever since I made that bread, everyone's been offering me their bananas in exchange for a nibble of my muffin. Sheesh! :)

1. You can say THAT again! :)

2. hehe...usually the people HEARING the nicknames like them much more than the recipients of said nicknames. You can ask Shee-Shee-La-La what he thinks of his nickname. I promise you that he is NOT entertained. But I'm glad YOU are!!! :)

3. Make sure you give some to Mstrbeau...he's awfully eager to get his bananas into something yummy.

2 cups flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp. salt

1/2 c. butter

3/4 c. brown sugar

2 eggs

2 1/3 c. mashed overripe bananas.

1. Preheat oven to 350.

2. Mix flour, baking soda and salt together. In seperate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture. Stir for a minute. Pour batter into greased loaf pan.

3. Bake for 60 - 65 minutes.

This will make TWO loaves, in the 9 x 5 loaf pans.

Enough for you AND Mstrbeau!

Gotta watch out for those sly men freely offering up their bananas for you to insert them into your muffins.... *giggles*

Thanks for the recipe. :)

My cats are miraculous. They constantly amaze me, with the incredible amount of love and affection they possess in their furry little bodies. I cannot imagine life without them.

Ok, I know this sounds kinda weird, but several days ago I had a dream where I was flying and moving things with my mind.

Later on after waking up, I looked at my hand, and started marveling over how it moved under the command of my conscious will, just like things in the dreamworld. I started thinking about the fact that one cannot really "feel" their own will, or the definite moment at which one's will creates the neural process which causes the muscles to move. All out of nowhere my perception shifted to the same state I usually have in dreams, bathing me in a heavy ZEN moment. Never knew that watching my hand move could seem so miraculous...
