I like that idea. Besides, you owe me from the last time. :p

You are absolutely correct, sir... you would ride free. LOL I could fit 2 more or 3 if one of them is pretty skinny. It's only about a half tank in my car so it'd be about $5 each if we have 4 peeps.

I'm going to Woodward Cruise to shoot all day Saturday the 16th so Renfest will be Sunday the 17th for me. Sign on to the Van of Doom gang here or via PM.

:( I think I'm out Marc, I won't have any moola. :(

Yay!!! Are they doing that for all weekends?

Yep. Plus Labor Day and that bonus Friday they're throwing in. Can't remember which day that was.

Count me in as part of the gang...... the part that will need a ride.

He's kinda on the way. If I drive I've no issue swinging by, if you drive, will get him to my house for optimal Van of Doom pickup.

Well, most people who go do not dress up... just freaks like me, so you could wear whetever. I see alot of gothy stuff walking around there too.

It's only $16.00 if you get the coupon from Wallgreens. That's less than a night at CC, at least for me. You should go!

I'm always amused by comments like this. If people really did research into that time period and saw what living conditions, etc. were actually like, you'd never want to live in any era but the present.

LOL! I think you are right. One of my friends who is a historian was telling me what Chivalry was really all about and it was NOT romantic & actually quite cruel. Chastity devices used to cause women lots of pain & grief. Some of the stories my friend told me were so disgusting, I don't really want to repeat them. Suffice it to say, it is a good thing when a woman does NOT have to wear one of these things, LOL.

Has anyone seen the series on HBO called "Rome?" Yes, I know it isn't the same time period you are talking about, but man, that was anything but romantic/peacful. It was a very crazy & violent time. We really are spoiled with our very "peaceful" modern lifestyles here in America. America's not perfect, but given a choice, I'd rather live in this time period than back then.

I have to work this weekend. Anyone planning on going again on one of the later dates? I think I've only missed RenFest a couple of times since the first one!

You were definitely not born for that era.. heh You're thinking about the dreamy romantic version, you're not thinking about the REALITY of that lifestyle.

Had you been born then and as open minded as you are now, and as you are now, you would be burned at the stake for being a witch or some form of succubus.

Yeah me too. I like the clothes tho.. ;)
