Hi everyone. Like the title says the Disney movie "The Black Cauldron" was on a this week on toon disney Just wanted to share that bit of news lol. I mean this movie is NEVER on! I haven't seen it since I was a kid. And it's nowhere to be found on DVD. I mean it's almost as if Disney is ashamed of it. But quite frankly I think it's one of their better efforts. It's standard medeaval fare about a young man who goes on a quest to destroy a certain thing before the bad guy can use it for evil but i love it. Got a comment? By all means let me hear it.

DAMNIT!!!!

and yes...disney was ashamed of it..thats why they never showed it will Micheal Eisner was running things over there...but now that loser-boy is well out of the picture (jackass ALMOST cost disney future dealings with Pixar), Disney is taking a new look at a lot of things in their past, as well as moving into HUGE box-office draws with co-operation from Pixar.

I think the Horned King was one of my all time favorite villians!!!...very tolkien-ish feel to it all

I can vaguely remember as a kid it bugged me that Disney glossed over the first book in this series: "The Book of Three" and made the movie mostly out of the second book which was "The Black Cauldron." They should have done the whole series.

Also, I just looked up Lloyd Alexander to see what he's been up to lately only to discover he died last year.

I love that movie, but mainly because I LOVE the books. I think they should have made the whole series too. It's an awesome story.

The ONLY Disney animation I have (to date) on DVD. I was OK with it being PG rated (the first Disney cartoon up to then that rated that.) I thought it interesting (although I haven't read the books.)
