pomba gira Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 A friend of mine is a registered sex offender and he is not allowed to own sex toys. How stupid is that... if a person is some kind of dangerous predator (which my friend is NOT), wouldn't it be better for him to have some harmless outlet for his sexual energies, rather than just keeping it all repressed? I have yet to find a mental health professional who thinks this makes the slightest bit of sense.
TitsMcGee Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Some of the restrictions on sex offenders in this country are just stupid to begin with. Some things make perfect sense such as having to register with the state and not being able to live near schools or daycares if the crime was against a child. But seriously a no camera phone? No sex toys? Thats just assinine to me. I also think the state needs to re-evaluate somethings that is now considered a sex crime, such as a guy taking a piss in public. That can put someone on the registry for 10 years, just because there wasn't a bathroom around

I would rather he fuck himself with a pocket pussy than go force himself on someone.
Guest GodfallenPromos Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Actually...most crimes have restrictions like that due to the circumstances of the crime. Sexual offenders will have basic things restricted, like sex toys, to more specific things, like cameras, if their crime included the use of photographic equipment. Sex crimes aren't the only ones that have such restrictions....take the story of Kevin Poulsen, whose one term of probation release was the fact that he was not to own a modem, or come in contact with a modem, for another three years.

Or can you just wash off radioactivity? Not my area of expertise!
ashlei Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 People who streak or even urinate in public can also get put on the sexual offenders registry. And while I don't condone either act, I think it's a little silly how someone who decides to take a leak on the side of a building gets labeled with "sexual misconduct". But those are the woes of our criminal justice system.
Homicidalheathen Posted August 18, 2008 Author Posted August 18, 2008 Piss happens. Especially when you have had a few drinks...and get stuck in a traffic jam...and are on the freeway in a tiny car full of people. (lucky I just got a few whistles and cat calls but yah....stupid law...PORTAPOTTIES FOR ALL!) But those are the woes of our criminal justice system. I have heard of crooked cops putting ppl on that list because they mouthed off to them, and also exposing the faults of our joke of a justice system will get you in trouble.yeah I see 1984 happening right now.the tax payers are the enemy of the system.
cptdeath Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 i know a guy who was out in the woods hunting. deep in the woods too man. him and his dad. he was 19 at the time. he took a leak on a tree an a dnr agent walked out from behind another tree and handed him a ticket for indecent exposure. apperantly the dnr officers was fallowing them the hole time like rambo waiting with the ticket allready half filled out hours in advance knowing they would half to go pee sooner or later. i guess that is a common practice for that officer to keep those tickets half filled out in his truck and tail people that way to give them out. the guy that got that ticket got put on the sex offenders list. I can only imagine the horrors the gov. bestowed on him from that point foward. probably probation, classes restrictions community service and all of it costs money and provides income to pay for dnr officers and other things. i believe it was otsego county M.I.
Homicidalheathen Posted August 20, 2008 Author Posted August 20, 2008 The first part...that my hard earned tax dollars actually PAY FOR THIS cracked me up...I can see some stupid asshole waiting by a frickin tree... But that last part is sad. K makes this point...everyone thinks the government is 'up to something' watching and recording our every move...planning this and that...but they are just NOT THAT ORGANIZED or smart...people give the bureaucracy waaay to much credit...this is a perfect example. WTF? Do they ticket bears who shit in the woods???? That is soooo fucking ridiculous... If your kid is wandering around in the woods alone during hunting season...well that’s more of a crime then them accidently seeing someone taking a damn piss. i know a guy who was out in the woods hunting. deep in the woods too man. him and his dad. he was 19 at the time. he took a leak on a tree an a dnr agent walked out from behind another tree and handed him a ticket for indecent exposure. apperantly the dnr officers was fallowing them the hole time like rambo waiting with the ticket allready half filled out hours in advance knowing they would half to go pee sooner or later. i guess that is a common practice for that officer to keep those tickets half filled out in his truck and tail people that way to give them out. the guy that got that ticket got put on the sex offenders list.
