You enter by going through an unmarked door on the First Street side of the Ramada Hotel building, located at 400 Bagley Street in downtown Detroit. The club is at the top of the stairwell. (see picture in the link above in the DGN calendar entry)

All are welcome. Come meet some of us weirdos.

Saturday nights from 10:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

Alcoholic drinks until 2:00 a.m., pop and juices served all night.

Admission is $4

18 and up, 21 to drink with proper ID (no exceptions).

No drugs, weapons, chains or spikes.

We've had reports that the CC parking lot will not break $20 bills or larger, so try to bring smaller bills with you.

In case you don't know the "DGN Corner" is to the right of the bar. Currently theres a table, pillar and long narrow wooden table, impossible to miss. Come say hello. If no one is there, stay there, they will show up.

Well the money for the ride is understandable but it only costs $4 on Saturday, and is free on Friday (if you get there before 12 and know the #), and you can park on the street and it's free....so I don't really understand why people complain about the cost. You don't necessarily have to get drunk on the $12 drinks to have a good time. I wish less people would get drunk off their asses, actually. ^^

It's not the same, having to do it in front of complete strangers. Part of the fun of karaoke boxes was being able to just embarrass yourself in front of your friends.

This is truth. Nonetheless.... They do actually have Japanese style booths in Farmington Hills and Ann Arbor, run by Koreans...or so I hear...but it's probably expensive. And not nomihodai... I miss home. -.-

They have karaoke boxes in Farmington Hills? That clinches it--I have to go.

I will not, however, be able to match 'Material Girl' in Gifu at 1 am, on-key the whole way through. To this day, I don't know how I managed that, unless I didn't and beer made me think I did.

Hahaha. I love singing Madonna. Actually, now that I'm no longer a fraidy-cat in public like I was when I was a kid, I could go for some karaoke even American-style. We should have a DGN karaoke night out.
