Take time out to hug your children.

I just found out that a woman I work with - her son died yesterday from slipping and falling. It's not like I don't already hug/kiss my children whenever they're around, but this just goes to show that they can be taken from us in the blink of an eye.

Mine are napping.

I just checked on them.

They're okey-dokey.

My heart breaks for that woman and everyone else who has lost a child.

I have said it before and I will say it again - I cannot imagine anything worse. Really.

Totally and completely agreed. My comment to the woman that told me was" If one of my children died, I would be inconsolable - for the rest of my life."

Wow. That makes you think...destiny? Or just utter chaos...which one rules the universe...was it just his time to go...or was his destiny cut short...?

That poor woman. How awful.

I got my hugs this week already...my kids force it on me....not like I fight it. :grouphug:grouphug:grouphug:cry

Oh man, so sorry to hear this. I can't even imagine what this woman is going thru.....

Oh my goodness. It is things such as this that convince me, if I were ever to have children of my own, that I would be like the daddy clownfish that Albert Brooks voices in Finding Nemo.

"Stay on the sidewalk... are your mittens tied together through your coat sleeves?... don't talk to strangers... don't eat the yellow snow... stay away from big dogs... don't watch films with Zach Braff in them..."

But...but...I loved Garden State.

Back onto the topic, I couldn't imagine that. When my cousin Kristen died my Aunt didn't even talk for like a month, she just sat on the couch and said "no" or "not real" over and over and over and over again while my heart just broke repeatedly having to fathom what she was going through. I feel for your co-worker, it's moments like this where all you can say is "hey that's life" but it doesn't mean it will make it any better, no matter how much you try to convince yourself.

My condolences to your co-worker. May she find strength in this devastating time. A child being taken is the worst. I can't say I understand why little children are taken away but others thrive but somethings in life will never be answered to me.

I don't think there is a reason behind it. Condolences to this woman. That is terible sad. I can't even fathom.

My mind cannot even wrap itself around a tragedy like this.

I think situations like that are even worse than people with terminally ill kids. With an illness, you have time to deal with whats happening, and say goodbye. But something as random as a slip and fall?? WTF? You have no time, you just hope you got everything in while you could. Its so quick, and utterly random. It reminds you how fragile life is.... :cry

order vrs chaos. or fractal theory in general. either way i believe there is a destiny based on math. our life is still the ripple from the stone being thrown in the water when the earth was formed.
