I must admit, it is my favorite time of year. :sorcerer:

I'm sad it doesn't get windy here though, I miss the Santa Anna's, and walking in the wind :crybaby:

If we lived down south, I would welcome autumn with open arms and wish it would never leave. But not in Michigan. We had an awesome summer and it's not lasting long enough. When autumn rolls in, it gets cold way too fast. The leaves don't even change. They die, fall off, and snow comes. I hate snow and autumn just reminds me it's coming. Someday, I will move south so I can enjoy my beloved autumns again but as long as I'm in Michigan, I hope that summer never ends.

My thoughts exactly. I used to love Fall in New Orleans when I lived there. It was always warm for Halloween too.

I absolutely love autumn. I even love winter. As a matter of fact, the sporting activities and hunting opportunities that come with those two seasons are the main reason I stay here.

Mmmm Hmmm.....Me favorite season.....

I haven't experienced the seasons much this year due to working so much... it makes me sad.

No, I like it inside ... it's too hot or too cold out there. And there's bugs ... and Frank.

I also hate raking leaves (they make me itch like crazy and break out in rashes) and I hate all the crap that falls off trees and gets tracked in the house.

I like it inside with my dogs. :)

You should take a walk on your breaks or lunch.....

It makes a big difference in how you feel.....

Definitely my favorite season of the year. 12 months of October would be heaven for me. I truly look forward to travelling places and when I get into my truck, not opening the door to discover a blast furnace of heat waiting for me to suffer thru until the A/C does its job. I also look forward to all the colorful trees, its an awesome site out here in New England. Being able to wear all black pants, boots, and coat and not sweat my gonads off will be nice. And as the weather turns colder, like every year, the cioffee will taste yummier.

Its my favorite time of year too. I just keep hearing the song Hallow's Eve by Type O Negative and it puts me in an excellent mood. I just love the colors and the thought of the holidays coming up.

Yes... Fall clothing is the best. Sweaters and shorts , haha. At home though, lol.

I have never cared for 'possum (it has a weird flavor to me)-- but I am an avid hunter of quail, partridge, pheasant, and turkey! :p I love bird-hunting, and the delicious rewards which come from it! :) I also usually snag a few rabbits, if I can get a good shot at any. I just recently ate the only remaining frozen rabbit I had put up from the autumn past.

I usually go out hunting on Thanksgiving morning. Anyone else like to go out for small game then? I could use a few hunting buddies, especially ones who might have a good flushing dog!

No joy in autumn for me... all I can think is that winter is on the way. And there are just no words to describe how much I detest cold weather. If I could I'd hibernate through the whole thing. Every year come autumn I think "I must be crazy for spending another winter in this godforsaken icebox". Ugh. And now I'm a homeowner there's the additional joy of raking & bagging the obscene amount of leaves dropped by the giant-ass oak trees infesting my property.

Ah, Pomba! I totally understand the headache of having all those leaves to clean up!

You know what I do? I just hire some kids to clean em all up! Saves me the work, and kids usually work for cheap! :p

I know of excellent places to find morels, lobster mushrooms, and hen-of-the-woods! ;) Does anyone else besides Graverobber and I like to go 'shrooming?

Autumn is my second favorite season. A morning in early spring has got to be my most perfect time.

It's warm enough that a light jacket is enough. There are a few patches of snow still around but otherwise the ground is wet. Deep enough fog that I can only see 100ft or so. The Sun only hinted at in a gray sky. A fine mist plays along the ground. Other than an occasional caw of a crow, the only sound is my foot steps.

The world just passes by... in and out of the fog likes ghosts.

I like early spring alot.

I have a Black Lab mix that Air Scents and Points. He is not trained traditionally, so as soon as he points, you better be ready to shoot. Alas, I moved to Florida.
