DGN at The Necto Aftermath August 25th

To quote Christopher Walken in SNL's The Continental........."WOW!!! Wowwie-Wow-Wow!!" LOL

Due to the drive, and having to work the next day, I never make it out to The Necto, so last night was rare. I hadn't been there in a while, and wasn't expecting much due to not having that good of a time the last time I went, which was over a year ago. I was pleasantly surprised last night, however!! I saw a few DGN'rs, and met a lot of new people. There were a ton of people there, and everyone looked like they were having a great time~Sweet!! The music was good, and so was the vibe. I'll definitely be going back when I can!!

Here's who I remember seeing:

Reaper: Glad you could make it out!! You didn't dance, though, did you? Tsk, Tsk!! Next time it's a must! :->

MissKitty: You looked gorgeous darling!! *Hugs*

Enishi: Good to see you.....You were like one of those whack-a-mole's.....when I walked around looking for people, I'd scope the crowd, and then "pop," there you would be. lol

XillaToxic: Awesome to formally, and finally, meet you!! You looked outstanding!

Industrial Girl: XX HOT!! XX Always super friendly, with positive energy!! And I don't know if your friend "Muscles" is on the board, but I need to make a mental note that his name is not "Muffins" like I thought it was for about a half an hour! LOL Thanks Reaper for clearing it up!! I kept thinking...."Why the hell would this buff man be called Muffin? And do I really want to know?" lol

Other elements that added to an awesome night......

-The DJ with the Harvey Fierstein/Wolf Man Jack voice~Loved iT!!!

-Playing mental "Down-A-Clown" (carnival game) with all the drunken girly preppy wankers dancing on the platform, lol

-Almost whacking some Indian guy when he tried touching me....turned around to give him shove, but saw that he was shorter than me...just couldn't do it, so I bent down and said "No touching!" Demeaning? Yes, but he deserved it, and the whole thing made me chuckle!

-The walk back to my car.....it was beautiful weather, there were still people out all over...couple things made me laugh.....the friends arguing with each other about "Trust" issues, which in and of itself wasn't funny, but their display of maddness was.......and walking by a store window where all the manequinns were in their underwear....ehhhh, is it really necessary for a male manequinn to pack that much heat? lol

Don't know when I'll be going back, but I know that I definitely WILL be.

Yeah, I had to laugh at that too! ROTFL!!!! I was glad to be able to get Muscles out to Necto....he always has to listen to me go on about how much I love the place & the people there. He hadn't been to the place since it was the Nectarine Ballroom & had a great time. We finished the evening with burgers/fries at Greene's Burgers in Farmington. I swear the people who work there have never seen me in "normal" clothes or at a "normal" hour, LOL, but they are always super-nice & I get awesome service which keeps me going back.

Yeah, last night was awesome! I ran into an old friend I haven't seen in over 10 yrs & found out he's already on this board (he said he goes by Sidnami?) and got to catch up a bit & see pics of his adorable 10-month old new baby which was totally awesome! It's good to see people doing well when I run into them after a long time.

Ms. Kitty, you kick a$$ as usual. Love ya girl!

Xilla - you were radiant last night. We gotta get a time when both you & Raev are in the same place at the same time! Miss seeing you guys together!

Tsura - nice meeting you!

Jinx/Dan - you frickin' played the most kick a$$ music (as always!). A big shout-out for all your DJ buddies in the booth with you who I don't know yet.

It was a lot better than last week at least. Very different crowd it seems. Although I can't get into the atmosphere when Jinx wants everyone to scream. That totally takes away from the vibe of the night.
