TheOsakaKoneko Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Will Kat be bartending downstairs or stay upstairs? This actually has a very large impact on whether or not I would be there...
jane dazzle Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 This sounds great! I am excited and will be attending! 80's industrial....my absolute favorite!!!

Simon Bar Sinister Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 The iLounge is in the basement, right? I hope so, because the sound in the main room is ass, and the upper levels get too much bleed from said main room. I live a few blocks from there; hopefully, I can make it out one of the first 2 weeks. Good luck with this regardless.
n0Mad Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Yes, iLounge is in the basement. Hardly any bleed from upstairs at all and the sound is half-way decent. You should've come to Dark Carnival last Saturday to check it out.
Guest greyhalo Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 I'd be all about checking this out if I didn't have to work so many Saturday mornings.
jane dazzle Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Come on people .......check this out. It sounds like it will be so worth it. Headlessgoth and I will be there for sure!
chaosgypsy Posted September 12, 2008 Author Posted September 12, 2008 just reminding you that powdered sugar is tommorow! hope to see a bunch of you there!
Msterbeau Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 I will show up when I get back home in December. I went to "Switch" shortly after the iLounge first opened. Twas cool but not very many people came regularly. I came mostly because it was friends putting it on and Brad was DJing...
Msterbeau Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Three years ago.. Started up in October-ish. Some friends who worked there, that now work at Vision/Crofoot got it rolling.
Jinx Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Did anyone here go. Reports please. Only from non staff or friends of staff. I was kinda curious about checking it out but not willing to drive from Ann Arbor all the way out to Pontiac for 6 people and a DJ I have never heard of without any club experience. Thanks in Advance Jinx
pleasurekatzen Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Was a bit curious myself. Didn't really notice too many CC Friday regs missing, so I wasn't sure who ended up making it out.
DJ Nocker Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 As much as I would like for a industrial night on fridays aside from City Club, I dont think anything is going to happen, especially at such a well known place... Ill check it out next week and see how it goes...
jane dazzle Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 We went and a few of our friends met us up there. It sucks that you have to pay $6 for parking in a lot that was empty, but there was no admission charge so I guess it worked out. I was very impressed with atmosphere of the bar i.e. the red plush couches, nice booths and tables all around, clean, spacious, decent dance floor, 2 stocked bars, nice bartenders to go with them, and oh yes....clean restrooms with attendants. It was a fabulous place and atmosphere all around. The $2 drinks till 11 special was completely awesome too! The only complaint I have about it was the music. I was so excited about this bar for the music I anticipated hearing. It was 80's/gothic/industrial night, and that is what they played, but the majority of the songs were all remixed so much that they really sucked. We would hear like 4 mixed versions of good songs and 1 original version. I do like mixed versions, but not all night long. There was one dj that played a good set and didn't do as many mixed up songs and we all enjoyed her very much. We all had a good time there and I probably would go back just because I really liked the lounge itself.
Hellion Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Was'nt this place originally called the "Mill Street Entry"? I went to see a couple European Dethe metal bands there several years ago.

It's a fantastic atmosphere and with the right DJ a fine place to be.

That includes Jack, stoli, Sauza...I had no idea that was the case but I have to tell you if I wasnt working I would be there every friday at 9pm getting sloshed because you can not beat that deal!
