Anyone here read Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse/Southern Vampire novels? Well, HBO has made a new series of them. And it starts tomorrow! I'll definately be posting my opinion here, what's yours?

So far, it seems mostly true to the books' characterizations. I dont remember the full contents of the first book (it's been awhile since ive read it), but the characters were mostly true to how Charlaine Harris wrote them. I like it so far.

Episode two..... i think for the moment, i will continue to tune in. They're doing fairly with the characters. At first, I didnt think Bill looked normal and banal enough (in the books, it seems she makes a point of how normal and safe Bill looks, how utterly unlike your usual vision of a vampire), but maybe, its as good as itll be for being HBO. Heh.

Right now, I'm watching "True Blood-Lines" on HBO; it's about the real-life vampire subculture. Pretty good.
