Your Ridiculously High Standards.....

Please share.....Because I have a hare time believing anyone supports anyone involved in the current race for President.....

I will add Me own after a few responses.....

Damn right my standards are ridiculously high. They should be. This person is the leader of the arguably the most powerful planet on earth. Average and good ole boy/girl don't cut it. Which is not to say they shouldn't possess a healthy dose of common sense and friendliness.

They should be genius-level smart, well-read and current on important issues (Not just relying on advisors), honest beyond reproach, willing to negotiate and compromise with others yet be clear and firm on their positions and beliefs (I can't stand that most politicians mumble bullshit when answering a question instead of giving a clear answer). They should have a proven backround of not taking advantage of their position. They should have made mistakes (Meaning they took informed risks.) and already owned up to them and learned from them. (Not backtracking when something is discovered by media) I'm sure I'll have more as the thread progresses....

We need to get people in office that are intellegent, such as scientists, rather than any joe blow politician. Really, if you think about it, experience in politics SHOULD qualify you to work at McDonald's and that's it, there's not really a huge amount of skill in it by itself. If someone could come along who's actually intellegent on paper and also have political know-how, then we'd have a winner.

Ok now seriously, I think the next president should be Legolas just because he is sexy and would be interesting to look at when he is making speaches.

He is also good with his bow and arrow so he could kill any terrorists as they come running towards him, and he is also kind and gentle and will bring goodness to his people. And did I mention he is sexy?

My ridiculously high standard for a Presidental Nominee is to NOT resemble a Skeksis....it's not a large demand....and I think it's rather a reasonable standard for any presidental nominee.

Aw, I know you do.

I do, too.

Baking soda volcanoes and all.

I'm just saying, don't let them in charge of things. Except mouse cages. They seem to do dandy with mouse cages.

I'm thinking I'm going to be moving to AZ, soon! Can't wait! I friggin' love it here! The heat doesn't bother me at all and the best part? NO SNOW!!! (S.N.O.W. - Shit  No One Wants)   Been staying in Bullhead City where the kids and grandkids live. Next, we're going to the wife's cousin's which is a ways North of Kingman, in the middle of nowhere, where we actually plan to move.   I really like Bullhead. It's a nice little town. Not overcrowded like Colorado Springs has become, at all. Very light traffic, reasonable prices on everything, low taxes, etc. The river offers a lot to do, with a lot of beaches and campgrounds all around it.   But yeah even though we've been over 110º-115º F just about every day,  I can handle it!  What I can't handle anymore, is snow and being cold. Just tired of it. Give me the desert over a blizzard any day!

Nope, we wasn't doing anything. I didn't want to go by myself.  I ended up doing karaoke here. It would of been a perfect day to go, though.
