soothsayer Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 I have been trying to scan more of my art but my friends scanner is not a flat bed but rather kind of like a fax machine style scanner. Some of my art is too large to fit through. For now I have these two I can show here. This is an idea for a tattoo. I drew this when I was 15. It was an art project which was rejected by my art teacher. He said there was no way a 15 year could have done this. Well.......I did do it and I guess I should've taken that as a compliment. :grin
soothsayer Posted May 9, 2005 Author Posted May 9, 2005 Yes he was and I think I kindly told him to get fucked, or something to that effect. I can't remeber exactly what I said but it earned me a few days off from school. :laughing
Lilith Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 Your teacher was an ass. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> exactly what she ^ said ^ great job by the way. lilith
Brenda Starrr Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 Yeah. Nothing like having your teachers believe in you, eh?
soothsayer Posted May 9, 2005 Author Posted May 9, 2005 I think he was intimidated by my natural abilities. Either that or he couldn't imagine that anyone other than himself could actually produce something good. I have drawn pictures in front of dozens of people to prove myself when I was younger but now I realize I don't have to prove it anymore.
Nightflyerswmn Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 those are really good. you're a wonderful artist. wish I could draw like that.
soothsayer Posted May 9, 2005 Author Posted May 9, 2005 The only thing I ever did was regular art class in middle school. After that nothing. I have better art but I need to photograph it. There too big for the scanner.
pixiefae Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 Good for you! I prefer untutored art myself. Seems less stuffy.
SomeDanGuy Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 Wow, I'd be skeptical if I was your teacher too. That is really good!
Brenda Starrr Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 I was showing these to Wayne, and he can't believe that the bottom one is even an actual drawing. Like me, he thinks you're really talented.
soothsayer Posted May 15, 2005 Author Posted May 15, 2005 Wow, I'd be skeptical if I was your teacher too. That is really good! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thank you. I drew the second one in front of my gf at the time and it blew her mind as well. I was showing these to Wayne, and he can't believe that the bottom one is even an actual drawing. Like me, he thinks you're really talented. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thank you. I have trouble seeing how others see it. To me it has several flaws in it when you look at it closely. Tell Wayne I said thanks if he doesn't read this. Maybe someday I will have to draw something in front of a few of you to show my ability. I can understand some might think it's not real but it is. Or if any of you like feel free to ask Marblez about it, she watched me draw more than once.
Brenda Starrr Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 I think the fairy would make a beautiful tattoo.
Marblez Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 Or if any of you like feel free to ask Marblez about it, she watched me draw more than once. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, and I have a few samples. He really does have plenty of artistic talent.
