Cruxshadows

One of the most popular darkwave bands on the planet and a favortie of Detroit crowds, the Cruxshadows started in the early 1990s in a little town in North Florida. Numerous lineup changes over the years have not slowed down the quartet. Touring the United States extensively from Coast to Coast, they have played hundreds of shows to American audiences in the last few years. The bands sound transcends the realm of dance or club music rich and romantic, crunchy and biting, digital and moody as well as so much more.

Ayria

Canadian singer Jennifer Parkin has become a true icon on the electronic scene with her unique writing style and personality. The bitter sweet approach of combining hard beats, dirty synths and soft vocal melodies makes it easy to understand why Ayria appeals to and pleases many audiences (including a powerful performance at Detroits Motorpop 3) and has secured a devoted and wide spread fan base across the globe. Extravagant, provocative, bitchy and edgy, she finds her target somewhere between Nitzer Ebb, M.I.A., Miss Kitten, and Ladytron. An astounding palette of edgy electronic styles perfectly fitting the impressive vocal range of Miss Parkin.

I:Scintilla

This Illinois-based quartet continue their fast ascension towards the top with their new album release “Optics”, an intoxicating blend of industrial beats and atmospheric creations. The seductive voice of female singer Brittany Bindrim instantly brings comparisons to Garbage and Evanescence, while their intricate layers of guitars and dominating electro synth lines bring them closer to the feel of Nine Inch Nails. Catchy and furious at the same time, I:Scintilla offer an addictive cocktail of hard-edged industrial, intense female vox, crunchy guitars and electro beats. The group precisely finds its force with its unique ability to seamlessly jump genres, from fast paced saturated tracks to electro songs with a lighter feel, with a constant charismatic and alluring attitude.

I cannot wait for this show. I saw Ayria at her Japan Osaka live and it was great. I don't actually care about Cruxshadows, just Ayria. Gotta get tickets... That weekend is going to be so amazing with Exotica and everything. Damn, I might have to take off Monday just to recover!

Seriously. Though I don't care about the Thrill Kill Kult. But Ayria and Sisters? Jesus. Especially the Sisters, since they are one of my very favorites and I haven't seen them before, whereas Ayria is one of the few acts I have actually seen (since she came to Japan) (for one show only, and I was there).

So Troy, how do I get these elusive DGN cards?

The usual way is to click on that thing in the upper right hand corner of the message board that says "DGN Street Team" and fill out the form.

But as DGN has been near broke for the last few months, we are virtually out of cards. I have like 40, and I'm sure there's plenty floating around with other DGNers that have yet to pass them out but in essence we are "out" until the donations pick up. :(

They always do (the donations), eventually, especially if i start beating the drums, but at the moment the cards actually are pretty elusive. Then there are the old school purple ones which really are impossible to find. (the current ones are red) Next up.... Green? Yellow? heh.

Ah. I know one girl has a stack of seriously like 300...no way one person could ever pass out that many, so I think I can guess why they're out! XD hahaha I'd appropriate some from her but she already filled them out - very industrious! :D

Both.

Both.

Good point. No use severing either hand at the wrist. Both the wife and the girlfriend can come along for this.

I'll buy the tix if someone provides a ride!

Ayria puts on a great show, and Jennifer is really nice! Cruxshadows won me over totally and completely last time they were here. WELL worth the cash for either, IMO!

Now the Sisters on the other hand....I'm just saying don't expect too much. (once again, imo).
