You're down with the DP crew, right? Should I be worried about being able to get in w/o advance ticket in hand?

There should be tickets at the door, but you save money by getting them in advance through TicketWeb.

Hey, I met you last night! I was the nurse... :)

If you buy them online you have to pay fees and shipping that makes it cost just as much with more hassle, don't you? As long as there are tickets at the door I will just buy them there...I am lazy!

My advance tix will be at will call, going with Marmee & a couple friends from work. Only 18 hours, Woot!!!

Hiya DGN! I will be there. Hope to see some of you.

Anyone know how the parking situation is around Smalls?

I have around a 3 hour drive to get there, trying to judge how early I should plan to get there. I'd like to park close if do-able.

Parking is available on the streets in front of (Caniff) and the side (Conant) of Smalls. Please read the street signs and be advised of any parking restrictions. Your best bet is go one block South on Conant, Right on Trowbridge - If I recall properly there is a FREE lot on the left.

Safe travels

All the bands were so so good. Cruxshadows were beyond awesome. I really *really* needed that. Drove home as the sun was rising but definitely worth the drive.

Excellent show, at least the 2 bands I saw - Cruxshadows had a perfect setlist and Ayria fucking killed it! My only complaint would be the audio mix during Cruxshadows' set: why have 4 people singing backing vocals when you couldn't hear any of them?

Twas a great show. :)

I agree, great show!

Yeah, Ayria's set was near perfection. CXS put on an awesome show as they always do but I agree with your assessment; the backup vocals were missing. I enjoyed I:Scintilla and as my first exposure to this band, I'm sold. Great stuff. Plus it was cool to see acoustic drums. But again, I must complain on the vocals. The chick was a great singer but her mic sounded somewhat muffled like they were pushing the treble through too large of speakers. But, I'm not a sound guy so I don't know.

I could hear the vocals fine but I was right in front of them, could have even heard them without amplification. That's too bad it wasn't coming through well throughout.

I did notice that I:Scintilla's lead was somewhat drowned out by the music and that was a damn shame. I was at their Chicago show and her voice is absolutely amazing.

Ayria was amazing, as expected. I am so glad I went to this show, even though it meant missing the biggest part of Exotica.. It was most excellent. I got to talk with Jennifer some and it was very fun talking with her about seeing her play Osaka - I don't think she expected to find someone who had been there! XD This was my first real exposure to Cruxshadows and I was very pleasantly surprised. I knew only the one song, Marilyn, which I actually don't care for too much, but then in the show it turned out that I knew about 2-3 others that I never knew were them, which were quite good. Pretty flippin impressive with the Billboard thing too. What was very impressive was Rogue(?)'s endurance - I wouldn't be that personable and performance-intensive with an 103 fever!! I Scintilla was pretty good too. The only complaint I had the whole night (other than my horrible headache which just can't be helped) was the big gaggle of girls standing front middle in front of me laughing loudly and talking to each other and being pretty much just annoying during Ayria's set....I know you're there for the Cruxshadows, and you want to get and protect your space in front middle, but please appreciate some of us are there for the band you are currently disrupting and don't be horribly rude, thank you. Le sigh. But overall it was a great show, met a lot of friends there, saw a lot of DGNers, bought some merch, and then went to City! Great night! :D:D

Thanks to everyone who came out! I know all of the bands were happy to see such a great size crowd that was so enthusiastic.
