So-called "Racism" (Which is a myth now turned into a half reality due to tradition) is hardcore in the middle east and africa. You can buy books like The Protocols Of Zion right at a regular average-joe bookstore all over the middle east. In africa large areas of the contient are segregated by ethic groups. Its a joke here compared to there. In the west "weightism" or "fatism" is more widspread than racism. "Bigotry" i guess is a more generalized accurate term as often it includes things like anti-semitism as there is no "Jewish Race".

As aluded to above, but to be more specific:

Humans, unlike other animals, have not even been around long enough to evolve into separate sub-species or "races". The idea of human sub-species , is actually a fairly new-ish concept historically speaking and has no basis in genetics really. Two random Americans are likely to be as different from each other as a Korean and a Brazilian.

From a lineage standpoint if forced to push a point... the Hebrews were pre-Jews, a subset of what would later become the Israelites and then later "Jews". From a racial standpoint they would be Arabic or Asian (or some damn thing since "race" is a horribly defined term). Hebrew just being a tribe of people within the lineage of Noah. (Supposedly) But as they exist now there is no real Jewish "Race" at all the term race itself is pretty worthless honestly. The subject is interesting though.

Myself I was so sheltered from racism growing up its hard for me to really "understand" it being much of an issue. In the rare moments when it was even brought up it was more of a joke than anything, and more often than not was brought up by whatever "ethnic" friend i was hanging out with at the time. Anger against racism almost seems like anger against the tooth fairy to me at times. Seems to get far, far more press than its actual real-life existence would justify. Class-ism or other types of marginalization seem more relevant to me.

The other day while at ren fest we heard a guy on his cell phone going "Dude there's black people here!" I hate fucking morons like that. With coming from up north where if you throw a rock into a crowed you're bound to hit a racist person, I personally cannot stand it. I subscribe to the philosophy of treat everyone the way you'd like to be treated..and I personally like to be treated nicely.

I must address this with - it is your opinion that he has those qualities. We have opinions regarding each other but as I was so bluntly abused and corrected with 6-8 weeks ago....just because something appears that way to one of us, that does not make it true. We do not truly know the hearts and minds of each other on here.

what REALLY bothers me about her is that there were much better qualified female canidates, as well as much better qualified male canidates, but she was chosen MAJORILY because of her "sex appeal" and to "shake up the McCain ticket"...nothing more...she was chosen BECAUSE she was female, NOT because of her record...IF she had a much better record in government, then things would be different...but all EVERYONE is seeing, and no..you can't pin-point me out, because phee, rev, and TONS of other ppl across the nation see it too...is that she is OVERLY zealotus..to the point where it is dangerous...and that she flapjacks about all her "amazing" events.

Everyone is racist to a degree whether they admit it, like it, hate it, or are trying to change it....

I think if more people would admit to their short comings and be upfront, instead of lying to themselves and others, the world would be a better place--------------------which is (stearing the thread back on topic) one of the reasons that I am not voting for McCain/Palin.
