How do you clean out your cache?

Like, browser cache? If you're using IE, go to Tools --> Internet Options...

And then click the "Delete Files" button near the center of that screen.

In Firefox...I'm not sure because I"m on the school computers now

this is a nice little freeware thingie that does a killer job ov wiping unnecessary poop off your system... it will clear your cache & lots more besides. Very simple & quick to run, I highly recommend it!

I recommend getting a bigger hard drive! :grin

EDIT: Defragging helps, too... but Windows recommends at least 15% free disk space before defragging. IT IS A CONUNDRUM! 31% fragmentation and 3% free space on my laptop. Oh, the troubles I face.

C cleaner is much reconmended

then run clone spy on your document folders to remove nasty duplicates

then DELTE ALL THAT PORN YOU HAVE BRENDA

I've got a 250 GB drive. I don't really worry about the cache anymore.

Especailly since I don't use IE at all. Firefox has some good cache management.

I also know how to go in and manually clean it out.

firefox doesnt keep folders hidden from you and decides to NEVER let you clean them out.

Things to clean....

C:\Winows\temp

Delete everythign in that folder

C:\Documents and Settings\%user name%\Local Settings\Temp

%user name% is the user name your logged in under. If you dont know what it is, click your Start Button and it will be at the top of the start menu. Also, you may have to set Explorer to show hidden files.

C:\Windows\Prefetch

Delete everything in here once in a while. You pc will boot faster but a few programs might take a second or two more to load.

Anything else you want to sqeeze out of my head your going to have to message me for.
