Mr Malcolm's plight comes just weeks after Bristol council angered allotment holders by urging them not to lock their sheds in case burglars damaged them breaking in.

Excuse me?

'The fence was just a single strand and ringing my property. It was only 3ft high – it wasn't as though I'd dug a moat filled with piranha fish and erected 6ft iron railings.

Maybe he SHOULD have put in a moat with piranha...

When the guy trying to grow his own vegetables is the BAD GUY and the thieves stealing said vegetables are the ones that need protecting, yeah, the world has gone mad.

I have total bets that the people from city hall are the ones coming in the middle of the night to steal his crops and so that's why they ordered down the fence .

That is completely ridiculous, pretty much sums it up.

This stinks on ice. The land may be the council's, but the items being stolen are the tenants.

Mods, please add these to the smiley list if you could, angry as they may be, they all work. Can't protect your personal property?!

That's why I only vote for candidates who support the Castle Doctrine. Funny thing is, Castle Doctrine is derived from English Common Law and now the Brits don't even use it any more. I support the Liberals in some of their ideas but vote for them too much and shit like this happens.
