Are Ouija boards effective?

At what?

I mean... they have worked wonders at scaring girls and making them all grabby onto you and cool... you know the horror movie angle

Are they effective at contacting spirits?

Posted

in my personal opinion its not the ouija board contacting the spirit its a medium for the person to contact the spirit but then again that depends on if you believe it capable of being a medium in that regard

A much more elequint way of saying what I was going to say

Ouija boards are perfectly effective for demonstrating ideomotor response in conjunction with a modified Forer effect.

I designed an awesome spirit board which someday I'd like to get patented. It's far more effective at anything you believe a spirit board is effective for which yes, includes contacting spirits/demons and scaring the pants off of pre-teen girls.

But lucky for us, if you do die from lack of spelling skills, we can always get a Ouija board to say "w'sup Azeuron?"

My experience with Quija boards has not been good. Bad things have happenned after using one. I will never use one again. IMHO, they are bad bad bad mojo.

I think they are great entertainment!

I'm with Draco-- I don't have them in my home. I've seen some really negative happenings involving them, and they aren't something I muck about with! They are a great way to introduce negative energy into your life, if you are not a strong-willed person. Think of them as a party line for the rabble of the astral plane.

I witnessed some things first hand many years ago, and I am quite leery of them, now. :sofa:

I dont dabble in Ouija boards, Not even out of curiosity.

I am a firm believer in spirits and I dont try to talk to them.

I dont reccomend using a Ouija Board to anybody who is uneduacated in the power of spirits.

City Club should paint their dance floor like a giant Ouija board.

Either that or Twister.

+1. What she said.

I'm still dealing with the consequences after more than 15 years. You rarely gt anything benevolent via a talking board. Imagine walking through Del Rey at 2am wearing a suit made of $100 bills. Same result.

One time my friends and I used a quija board, weird shit happenned at the house we used it at. We found someone who could block stuff, redid the board and she sent the spirit back. After that, things were normal. My friend's sister and her friends played with one before I could warn her. Something was hanging around the house. Sometimes it looked like a shadow shaped like a man, other times it was small. But the glowing eyes out of nowhere that kept showing up and the weirdness going on told her I was right about what I told her after. And yes, I did see those things at the house. Was able to get the gate closed and the stuff stopped. Quija boards seem fun but they open a portal to the dark things waiting to come over.

I've never had any negative experiences at all, ever. And I've used Ouija boards a lot along with pendulums, water bowls, tables, and other means of alleged spirit communication. I guess ghosts just know better than to fuck with me. I do have the name Spook for a reason. Not something I picked but something given to me.

I have a hard time believing anything mass produced by Parker Brothers has any spiritual efficacy.

In my mind, that's akin to trying to enter another dimension through Chutes and Ladders.

At least that's what my brain says...I still get the heebey jeebeys when I see one, this creepy crawly feeling on the back of my neck and down my back. I won't touch that shit.

Demons are mean little fuckers...I'm not taking a chance.

I'm thinking I'm going to be moving to AZ, soon! Can't wait! I friggin' love it here! The heat doesn't bother me at all and the best part? NO SNOW!!! (S.N.O.W. - Shit  No One Wants)   Been staying in Bullhead City where the kids and grandkids live. Next, we're going to the wife's cousin's which is a ways North of Kingman, in the middle of nowhere, where we actually plan to move.   I really like Bullhead. It's a nice little town. Not overcrowded like Colorado Springs has become, at all. Very light traffic, reasonable prices on everything, low taxes, etc. The river offers a lot to do, with a lot of beaches and campgrounds all around it.   But yeah even though we've been over 110º-115º F just about every day,  I can handle it!  What I can't handle anymore, is snow and being cold. Just tired of it. Give me the desert over a blizzard any day!

Nope, we wasn't doing anything. I didn't want to go by myself.  I ended up doing karaoke here. It would of been a perfect day to go, though.
