I didn't say you were. I just wasn't surprised that it was someone that identifies as Republican that would advocate leniency for this criminal. And I personally don't think he should be killed either. That's not the answer nor is it a deterrent for drunks or many other crimes of passion. The fact is, there are a lot of people with mental problems in this country/world and they're using alcohol as a coping mechanism instead of getting help. This is the result.
