punk_princess Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Whats your fav video game of all time? Mine is Final Fantasy X.
Destroit Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Most epic game ever with the best storyline and gameplay: Earthbound, SNES, circa 1994 Most fun and useful game ever: Dance Dance Revolution (there's a few dozen of them by now) Most touching, intense, and visually appealing game: Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly, PS2 (it's out for xBox but the xBox ending SUCKS) Most retarded game ever: Guitar Hero. It's Dance Dance Revolution for lazy people with no skill, there, I said it. Guitar Heroes is for lazy pussies, I do that shit with my FEET, therefore rendering GH completely obsolete. And I hate seeing people hold those stupid little ghetto plastic "guitars" looks STUPID...it looks like some little toy guitar you'd have when you were FIVE, not to mention how incredibly easy and simple the game is itself.
Rev.Reverence Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 ....anything with 1 button & a joystick.... (if there is a button on the joystick it may do something as well) ..Oops...my old is showing again..... *pulls shirt down to cover oldness* (edit to add: OR a Pong paddle)
Enishi Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 I have several favorites. Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Final Fantasy 7, the Silent Hill series, Shadow of the Colossus, and the earlier Resident Evil games.
Destroit Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 I have several favorites. Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Final Fantasy 7, the Silent Hill series, Shadow of the Colossus, and the earlier Resident Evil games. +1 on Earthbound! So many people don't even know what the fuck it is and it's an AMAZING game, and quite revolutionary for its time. It was the first RPG to break out of the stereotypical Dungeons and Dragons old style knights and monsters kind of shit seeing as it was about four kids trying to save the world from an evil alien and his minions by using a baseball bat, frying pan, a gun, and then the badass chinese kid that just used his fists . Best thing to come out of the 90's, imo.
n0Mad Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 StarCraft. Though it's not a game, it's a lifestyle. lol And, I love Neverwinter Nights and Neverwinter Nights II.

There was another Earthbound game which they made for the Gameboy Advance, but for some idiotic reason, Nintendo decided not to translate it. Some fans are working on a translated ROM though.
Enishi Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Ah yes, Xenogears. I forgot about that one. That was another of my favs as well.

OMFG...that quote made my day! Thanks Brought me back to the good ol' days where I had a controller in my hand, didn't have to worry about bills, and didn't need to count my calories just game game game and play allllll day. The original one was for NES and it was called "Mother" (the Earthbound that Americans know and love is called "Mother 2" in Japan), but was never imported here because they weren't sure if we would like it.
StormKnight (1) Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Shows how old I am: X-wing (yeah, the original) X-plane flight simulator keep telling people they will lose money if the bet on me surviving more than 5 minutes of Halo-3.
punk_princess Posted October 15, 2008 Author Posted October 15, 2008 The original super mario brothers & duck hunt
MinaRose Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 BloodRayne 2, Prince of Persia, WoW, original Super Mario Brothers, & Duck Hunt.
Black Jack (1) Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Not just one but one of each type more or less Star Ocean: Till the End of Time is an outstanding action RPG for my side scrolling fighting I pick cause its the most advance in its generation for adventure hands down medieval type is my preference and Monster Hunter 3 takes the crown.
Jinonfire Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 I must add a shout for Earth bound and Chrono trigger, both need to come out on the wii. Also Mass Effect I just finished deserves a mention.

GothicRavenGoddess (3) Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 I don't care how bad i am going to get laughed at, but Fable, and more so, Fable Lost Chapters... (I have yet to experience #2, and doubt i will for a long long time... )
BlackcaT840 Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 FF III, (or VI. Depending on the SNES or the PS version.) FF Tactics Portal Legend of Dragoon Zelda: Ocarina of Time Eh. Those are the ones that I could play over and over again, and never get bored. Haven't been playing very many games lately. I should work on that. . .
