I will be out there on Halloween. I always take the day off from work for my b-day, which is the 29th. So, I'll be celebrating my b-day too. I'm contemplating getting a room as well. I haven't done that in a while.

1/2 oz vodka

sweet and sour mix

1/2 oz melon liqueur

1 speared pineapple chunk

1/2 oz Blue Curacao liqueur

cherries

1/2 oz raspberry schnapps

1/2 oz cranberry juice

(in a much bigger batch in a punch bowl and allot more vodka)

And mayeb watch beetle jucie if anyone else is in to it like we are? Before or after?

Anybody else with any halloween Drink Ideas, It be great if every room had a diffrent kind of drink and or halloween Movie, but idk if the leland has vcr or dvd player(doubt it) i'd bring my own

I have questions about rooms at the Leland.

Has anyone already booked a room for Halloween night? I called today and was told that the suites are $95., and the standard doubles are $85. These are the regular rates.

The rate for a standard double with the CC discount is $49., but you can only get that discount if you book a room within 24 hours of staying in it. Is anyone waiting until the day before Halloween to book a room for the discount?

I'll be staying at the Leland too... we're going to Hallowicked, then planning to hit City or whatever other adventures we can find. Sure we'll see ya at some point!

They told us the same thing about the rooms. I am leery of waiting 'till the last minute (esp. 'cos we need a suite) on Halloween so will prolly just book tomorrow or Fri. & pay the full price... not that big a hardship as we are splitting cost with another couple anyway. I could swear I've booked ahead & got the discount before, tho.

AFA drinks, don't know how Halloween-ish it is but I'm planning to mix up a big ol' jug of Caribou Lou... should make staggering over to the State (or whatever it's called now) interesting!

I can bring a cd player with crappy speakers OR a boom box with casette only with removable speakers where we can hook up stronger speakers to it, it also has an input audio jacks...So it's pretty adaptable.
