Simon Bar Sinister Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Renaissance... French futuristic film noir, done in this stunning b&w motion-capture animation. Main character is voiced by the new James Bond guy. Pretty damn good, there aren't many movies I can actually sit through but this one kept me engaged the hwole way through. It was incredible in the theater. Last movie I saw in the theater? Wall-E, I believe.
thewhiterecluse Posted November 16, 2008 Author Posted November 16, 2008 I watched the classic It last night.

Goth Brooks Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Soul Men Samuel L Jackson and Bernie Mac some damn fuckin funny parts in that movie.
jynxxxedangel Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Just finished watching "Merlin And The War Of The Dragons." Pretty good flick. Link to movie on Suoernovatube
Eevee Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Twilight. Went to the midnight premiere. It, obviously, wasn't as good at the book...but Edward Cullen and Emmet were extremely drool-worthy and made up for it.
Msterbeau Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 I haven't seen a movie since I let home. Except for a couple on TV, but that doesn't count.
Eevee Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 I haven't seen a movie since I let home. Except for a couple on TV, but that doesn't count. Last night was my first time going to the theatre since The Simpson's Movie came out.
MinaRose Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Last night was my first time going to the theatre since The Simpson's Movie came out. Last movie I watched was 'Enduring Love'. It was definitely different. The one before that was 'Abandon', I really liked that one.
Head Wreck Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 jesus christ vampire hunter.... i want the time that was stolen by this film back
jynxxxedangel Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 "No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency." This is the story of the daughter of an African chieftain in Botswana. After her father dies and leaves her an inheritance of hundreds of cows, she sells them-- and uses the money to open her own detective agency in the city. Not a bad flick; the cinematography and direction of the film is excellent, but the characters were a bit one-dimensional. Unfortunately, this is usually the case with movies based on novels. I liked the actress who played the main character, she was very believable.
Head Wreck Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 ah. i saw that on TV some time ago. it was an enjoyable distraction.
jynxxxedangel Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 I also watched the movie you suggested, HW. "Braindead" was HILARIOUS, and GROSS! I think I have seen parts of it before, on MST3k. Rat monkeys, zombie-were-rat-monkeys, large bottles labeled generically as "tranquilizer" dispensed by dubious Nazi war criminal veterinarians, an Oedipus complex, lawn mowers, zombie kung-fu priests, a family secret, and star-crossed lovers. Very interesting.
Dollardave Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Lol I watched a classic the other night called Misery with Cathy Bates. What a sadistic film. I like the hobbling scene. Misery is an excellent fucking movie. Last one I saw was American Pie Beta House. $$
Head Wreck Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 yep. its not for the easily offended, but those who aren't love the film
Enishi Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 "Braindead" had me ROTFLMAO the whole way through.
jynxxxedangel Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 "Splatter Disco." An fetish nightclub/serial murder story musical. Yes, it is a very creative, tongue-in-cheek indie film. If you don't like B-movies, you will NOT like this. There were a lot of things I liked, and didn't like, about this film. You'll just have to see it for yourselves-- I simply cannot describe it! P.S. There's a cameo appearance by The Fury 3, a kick-ass psychobilly band from Rhode Island.
Head Wreck Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 much like jesus christ vampire hunter then. a quasi musical about vampires, jesus PVC catsuited sidekicks and a latin wrestler disciple/saint
eleven Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Million Dollar Baby for like the 4th time....it still does not get any easier to watch....
