Dirtywhispers Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 My mom is havin a hyterectomy today they found tumors on her uteris and shes been having a real hard "female" time of it. The thing is surgeries dont go well in my family and it's being done at the same hospital that killed my son 10 years ago and I just cant not freak. A little helpful words advice prayers or whatever would help so much!
Rev.Reverence Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 ...may all things work out in a manner compatible with your hearts desires... *silence* ..AMEN...
Homicidalheathen Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 i am sure she will be ok, its quite common these days i pray now
Brenda Starrr Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Honey, it's scary. But you know what? Times have changed, and surgical procedures have improved. Just keep strong for her. Even if it means biting your lip HARD to do so. *hugs*
jynxxxedangel Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 I had a partial hysterectomy and single oophorectomy many years ago, and suffered a bad reaction to the anesthesia. It caused me to go into anaphalactic shock on the table (I actually had a near-death experience). Your concerns are genuine! I wish your mother well, and I hope she pulls through her operation without any negative reactions. Hopefully, she will be able to live her life without pain and further worries, after this procedure. Sending good energy your way.
Bernadette Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Hi.. my thoughts are with you and your Mom. I hope this will comfort some -- My Mom had a mass in her abdomen/female area a few years ago. We were scared for her. Had it removed (size of a grapefruit -- benign thank goodness!), and also had hysterectomy to be preventatively safe (determined by her doc during surgery). All went really well, and she's healthier, more active than ever. And she even thinks she got a partial tummy tuck out of the deal! So keep your chin up, both of you!
Dirtywhispers Posted November 10, 2008 Author Posted November 10, 2008 Well she made it thru the surgery. Shes home but doesnt understand the concept of rest. Thank you too all the well wishes. I know it's silly to worry it's just the hospital she was in.
Azeuron Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Very glad to hear the good news hope all continues to go well.
