What do you all think of this change in the weather? It has caused my trip up north (to sight in guns and cut down brush) to be postponed. :cry This SO sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to go up there and get my chainsaw, too!

Crappy Michigan roads -- but the snow sure is pretty.

P.S. The picture was taken moments ago.

Damn, I'm 5 hours north of most ya'll and we don't even have that yet...although it was snowing on and off all day but melting as soon as it hit the ground.

This snow squall is just raging!! I wish you all could see, it's magnificent! Bring it ON! Good thing I love snow. :)

thats the SUV drivers fucked then :D

sorry it got in the way of the trip.

   Don't you know it?! The rich flat-landers' wives driving $80,000 SUVs are certain to be absolutely lost. I wonder how all the idjits are doing with the new roundabouts-- I shudder to think!

What a funny coincidence, the way it's gone ahead and snowed, already! HW and I just shared a humorous conversation about rural Michigan's fairytale snowfalls, as opposed to slushy Welsh winters-- and our distinctive categories of native lousy drivers, last week. :p Speak of the devil..

Here's the snow in the light of day. Much of it has already melted down. It also looks as if a little kittycat (or two) has been visiting my yard, judging by all the footprints.

Watch your step, they may have left presents...

:p

Actually they probably didn't. They're more discriminating then dogs.

The nicest thing about snow, is one can actually see the little "presents" before one steps in them. ;) Why, just last week, I stepped in a small dog's shit twice (on separate occasions!) while doing yardwork-- and I don't even have a damn dog! I know it was from a small dog, because a cat would have shit in the dirt and buried it, rather than in the grass.

Now I can see the landmines, if there are any.

Damn, you got more snow over there than I did here in Howell/Brighton. It was just enough to cover the ground here. You know, WNIC 100.3 again has started playing Christmas music. Might be a good time to get into the mood with music and snow lol.

<<is already guilty of indulging in holiday music..and being a redneck, my "party lights" stay up all year 'round. :p

i have a deep aversion to holiday music ever since working for the post office and being subjected to the same 7 songs on repeat for 8-16 hours a day,14 days straight.

Maybe this is why postal workers "go postal."

I live in Royal Oak, and I had about an inch on the ground early this morning. However, as I drove North on I-75 to work, there was less of it.

snow = february here

...not enough to stay over on the EAST-SIDE!!!

We got it too ... but the time the daylight broke, most of it had melted, but I had to scrape ice off the cars to move them.

Here's last night from my bedroom window ... crappy cell phone pic, but you can see the snow on the neighbours car and the dog houses and the ground. It was still coming down at that point.

I called my Mom (she's in Garden City) and they never saw a flake.

Yeah, you guys got it too, from the looks of it!

Funny thing. A friend of mine who's on vacation just happened to send a picture over my phone of the sunset on Acapulco Beach, with a message telling me it was 90 degrees-- about two hours before our snowstorm hit. *straightface*

Enough for me to wake up Pestilence and be like "OMFG LOOKIT! LOOKIT! IT'S SNOWING! SNOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWING!" but not enough to make snowmans/condos out of...grr maybe next time.

I took one last night outside the front door trying to capture the trees, but all I got was snow but it looks like outer space or the Twilight Zone *hears music and shifty eyes*

LoL, Phee and I went to Hawaii in February of 2007, there was 2 ft of snow and ice here at home. Our flight to LA actually got delayed leaving because of de-icing the plane. We missed our connecting flight in LA and had to wait an extra 5 hours for another to Honolulu. It was sunny and a perfect 85 degrees the whole time we were there. I got sunburned at Hanawama Bay our second day there. :) I sent TONS of camera phone pictures of Waikiki Beach to tons of people while I was there. :)

There's pictures here.

I still don't see any snow! What are you guys talking about? :p

Oddly, my older daughter was just getting back from Florida and 80 degree weather when the storm hit. From hanging on the beach to snow in a couple hours. That's probably heaven for a child, though.

There was barely any snow down by Milan and Ypsilanti.
