wow. damned if they aren't coming out with some of the coolest things. i recently read about bionic eyes that are being tested with great success.

I was all excited about that bionic eye article too, until I read it and then it didn't seem as cool. You have to wear an entire little camera in front of your eye, which then connects to a chip at the back of your retina which sends signals through the optic nerve. But even then the image quality is reeeeaaally bad. I think they said you can just make out vague blurs in a room and maybe be able to navigate. Better than totally blind though I guess.

On the heart thing yeah that is awesome. The possilibities are endless for that.

On the eye thing, that technology will improve as we learn more about the brain and how to map to it.
