hunhee Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 I noticed that most of the guys that I've seriously dated have either been an only child or oldest child. I'm the baby in my family. I'm beginning to see a pattern with my other friends as well.. I was just curious if this is somewhat true. Do you guys see a pattern to the people that you date? or is it all over the place?
Destroit Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 My first was the youngest out of two boys, my second was the youngest brother in a family (3 boys, 1 girl), my third was the oldest brother in said family , my fourth was the oldest out of two boys, and Pestilence is the oldest out of two boys. I can't say I've noticed a birth order that I tend to date, but just now listing this off made me realize (and I'm slow because I haven't realized this before), but all of the guys I have dated come from "boy" families. What's funny about that is I had no idea what they had in the way of siblings before I dated them, except for the second and third guys.
JaneDead Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 hmmmm i've only had 2 serious relationships and the one was the youngest of 4, 3 older sisters. the next was the oldest of 2 boys. both guys seem to be broken beyond repair. but that is another subject all together. other relationships (when i was younger/not serious): one was the middle and the other was the middle. (one was the middle of 3 boys the other had an older sister and younger brother). other than that those are really my only relationships i've ever had.

JaneDead Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 And what are you? the oldest, youngest or middle? i am the oldest
Simon Bar Sinister Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 I've read that the most stable relationship is oldest daughter/youngest son. Oldest/oldest and youngest/youngest is setting up for a sure fight. Sticking to what I consider my major relationships: 2nd child of 4, 2nd daughter youngest child, only daughter(1st love) oldest child only child (2nd love) middle child, only daughter oldest child
Oh_My_Goth Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Craziest..... Oh, that wasn't an option..... Hmmmmmmmm, I don't think I have a pattern.....
JaneDead Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Craziest.....Oh, that wasn't an option..... Hmmmmmmmm, I don't think I have a pattern..... ha. that's my pattern too. the crazys.
jynxxxedangel Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Interesting observation, Hunhee-- I tend to date the middle child. My last two significant relationships were with the middle siblings of large, close-knit families. There are many other middle siblings in my past, as well. There is something about the temperament of this personality type which attracts me. They are accustomed to change, yet they hold onto tradition. Middle siblings also tend to be quite even-tempered and fair-minded. I think it is because they are raised by their parents in their prime. After the partial raising of the first sibling, the parents are well broken in-- and caring, yet attentive. After the last child is born, they are usually quite lackadaisical.
Eevee Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Hmm...well with my first "real relationship" he was the oldest of two boys. For my second, he was also the oldest of two boys. And NomaD is an only child. I suppose I don't have quite enough dating background to come up with a good observation.
prick Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Ive been with them all but I think I have mostly dated the youngest.
prick Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Oh, and I'm the youngest.rofl Uh oh! You better hide from me then.
Rev.Reverence Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Craziest.....Oh, that wasn't an option..... Hmmmmmmmm, I don't think I have a pattern..... Um...I don't even think that I'm the craziest of my siblings... ...& I am still thinkin' on it...but I don't think I have a pattern either..
hunhee Posted November 12, 2008 Author Posted November 12, 2008 hmm...Spans the range for me. And you place where my friend? Craziest.....Oh, that wasn't an option..... Hmmmmmmmm, I don't think I have a pattern..... hehe.. Craziest can be a choice, usually they're the babies in the family..hehe (that would be me.. ) Interesting observation, Hunhee-- I tend to date the middle child. Aren't the middle children quite often the ones that end up being the serial killers? Hmm...well with my first "real relationship" he was the oldest of two boys. I've only really seriously dated 3 guys... I tend to check the dates on produce yes, but which ones do you tend to check? the first/middle/last??

Msterbeau Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 The first three that come to mind are all only children...
StormKnight (1) Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 And you place where my friend? http://www.detroitgothic.net/index.php?sho...mp;#entry521447 One was the eldest, one middle, one only...and that was the last 3 women I dated.
TygerLili Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 I've only had 2 serious boyfriends. One was an only child, and one had an older brother but was mostly raised as an only child. I honestly can't remember if my first boyfriend had siblings or not, I think he had an older sister. I am an only child.
