Goth Brooks Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 http://blog.wired.com/underwire/2008/11/bootleg-star-tr.html I'm still iffy on the plot, but the effects look good.
Goth Brooks Posted November 17, 2008 Author Posted November 17, 2008 Looks interesting... Uhuru... NOM! Simon Pegg as Scotty :jamin
TitsMcGee Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 I'm so showing my dorkness now, but omg that looks so damn good.
hunhee Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 OMG that guy who played Sylar in Heroes is SPOCK!! COOL!!!!
Reaper Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 I had heard about this movie being made and wasn't sure if it would be that good. But after seeing the trailer and the Sylar guy playing Spock, it looks like it should rock. I bet Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner will probably enjoy watching their legacy continue.

Reaper Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Shatner's probably still pissed he wasn't asked to be in it. Considering he should know how old he is and where the storyline is coming from (his past) I think he knows he can't partake in the movie that way. I think he would feel humbled at most due to having a young guy take advice and act as him in his younger days.

I called the lil' Goat in to see the the clip...he's geeked...I'm WAY too old-school to NOT go...so we'll be there..

Rev.Reverence Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Especially since Leonard Nimoy is in it according to IMDB ..I did also hear that in the Coffee shop...in like, the last week or so...
Goth Brooks Posted November 18, 2008 Author Posted November 18, 2008 The HD version of this trailer should be available on the net soon. edit: I take that back http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/st...e_trailer2.html it's out NOW
n0Mad Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 The only Star Trek I've ever liked is TNG. I really can't stand any other iteration. Although, that trailer does make this movie look pretty awesome. And J.J. Abrams is a great director. I just might have to go see that.
Brian4wheels Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 I'm a firm believer in "If it ain't broke don't fix it" And to me anyway Star Trek wasn't broke. But if people can overhaul Batman and make me love it again, then I will give this a chance. Besides like a couple of people have posted already I too am eager to see Zachary Quinto as Spock.
Onyx Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 I was really afraid it would be a disappointment but I love what I see so far. If you've got a larger monitor the HD version is well worth the download time.
Onyx Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Shatner's probably still pissed he wasn't asked to be in it. In this clip he tries to sound like he doesn't really care, but it seems to me he's hiding the fact that he is secretly upset.

I think the point of this movie is to go before the first actual Star Trek and see how everything led up to the first show.
Goth Brooks Posted November 24, 2008 Author Posted November 24, 2008 I think the point of this movie is to go before the first actual Star Trek and see how everything led up to the first show. The point is to fuck Sisko over. Where's my Sisko flick damnit! It's his turn.
