One of these days, however, I suggest we move the party down to Dragonmead (I-696 service drive East just east of Bunert):

Full Fathom Polish-style stout and the Russian Emperial Stout are meals in themselves. But if you grab some carryout from Lazybones Barbecue on Groesbeck before moseying over to the 'Mead, you have yourself an experience that rivals, if not trumps, Slow's for the beer AND the food, but is far less crowded (provided you do not attend the same night as the dart leagues meet).

too bad it's not Tuesday the 6th. Lily's is celebrating Tartan Day, with a full Scottish menu in addition to their regular fare. Men in Kilts (yes, there is such a local group) will parade in off the street at 6 PM.

Why, yes! Yes, it is! They have $4 growler Thursdays. I can't believe you don't know about this place yet. It's the bestest. And they have mustard on pretzels. It's good with a pint. Oh, they have mead, too, as their name suggests.
