Even taking pictures, I get the weird Marc. I don't have pics of the plates of sushi I ate. Don't know if it I was in company of people this time or if I was in withdrawal, but it tasted particularly good that night.

I find that I often enjoy food more in the midst of company.

Similarly, I do my best cooking when I have a bunch of friends/family to prepare it for.

I definitely have to agree with you there. That's when I go out on a limb and try weirdness I've not had before. Otherwise, I'm either making a sandwich, eating a piece of fruit, or reheating leftovers. It's not fun cooking for one.

That is probably why I could eat that much sushi. Yet another reason I hate to dine out alone.

Well, not that I did entirely, but next time, I'm not holding back from the "grab from everybody's plate" dining method. Everything is more fun when you share.

If everyone says I ate as fast as I did, I think there would be nothing left on my plate, or I would have eaten your chopsticks as you went to grab things.

This is what happens in big families...eat fast and first or don't eat.

I would have thought that you learned that in the military.

Oh, there has been a time or two I would be forgotten at the family dinner. So many kids, and I wander in after the mongol horde has cleaned and ravaged the kitchen and ask, "when is dinner ready?" Ended up eating fast food or peanut butter sandwiches when compared to the home cooked stuff that was prepared. Yet another reason I stay away from family.

Not to say it didn't help me in the military to eat fast, but the speed was already there.

Cooking for one...blows. Plain and simple. Cooking for 10. Now we're talking about a delicate balancing act of planning, preparation, and creativity. Cooking for 40....well that's just insane...but I've been known to do that too.

40? for 40, the word cooking does not apply to my activity. Randomly slapping shit on the grill and hoping for the best--yes.

LOL, Other than on a Navy ship, I don't think that they make one that big Mean Salley.

That is an adorable pic.....

Thanx for posting them

When Marc said "try one with a real camera" I was inspired. Marc said, "you push the silver button"blah blah blah and I tried to capture the essence of the DGN Sushi wackiness. I think we succeeded.
