Nienna Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 This is a totally self serving post I guess... I feel kind of guilty about it, but I need to talk about it... so here it is. My mother was diagnosed with frontal lobe brain tumor today. She goes into surgery tomorrow morning, I think just for a biopsy but maybe to remove it. It is the size of a golf ball. They don't know if it's cancer or not She's my best friend. Seriously. Please pray, or light a candle or just send good thoughts. Has anyone experienced this with a loved one who may be able to help me know what to expect?
taysteewonderbunny Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 No, I've not and I can't even imagine. I am keeping you two in my thoughts.
Raev Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Yes, I suppose. If I count *ME* as a loved one. I've survived a tumor. Have a scar on the side of my head from it. It's part of why I have a mohawk, can't grow hair well on that side anyway heh. The docs these days are damned good at what they do! I fully believe your mother will be fine.

ManicQueen Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 About two years ago my aunt had a brain tumor removed via the nasal airway. After a few weeks we found out it wasnt cancer, thank god. It was a very scary ordeal though. Since then it has grown back a few times for some reason.. still it's beign. A few months ago my dad was diagnosed with cancer. My prayers are with you and your family.
