I voted "another color" and here are my thoughts.

Black is the most prevalent color at City Club which is why we're having a no black night. But black is not the only "goth" color. Dark purples and reds are also gothish and many people can also get away with white depending on how it's done. Thus I don't think we should wear purple, red, or white of any shade at all for no black night. We need to go with a color we rarely see goths in.

Pastels are an okay idea but they are hard to find and some people just can't do pastel. Tie dye is an okay idea too but there are enough hippie types that frequent CC that tie dye has been seen before.

Therefore, I'm going to agree with jynxxxy that yellow is our best bet, but also add bright green to the list to give people a bit of a choice.

As far as anything out there like pajamas and cosplay, let's just keep things simple with a color scheme.

Sweetie...not everyone looks good in black, either. =P

I concur, however, I fuckin rock black so hard, the Devil himself calls me for fashion tips.

But I still say we go to CC in full blown Easter Egg Pastel Gloriousness. I fully expect if 15-20 of us "sack up" and do this, that we very well make someone cry in fear whilst quivering in a corner. More than one perhaps will feel our wrath in such a way... :w00t:

Why don't we all pick one color each (OTHER THAN BLACK, duh) and wear NOTHING BUT THAT COLOR (including shoes, socks/stockings, accessories) without coordinating it, then when we get together, we'll be rainbow and maybe later in the night we can trade articles of clothing (the innocuous ones--I'm not talking undies here) throughout the night to see how many colors we are by the time we leave.

The plan again because my run-on is confusing to me:

every one picks a non-black color without discussing which color he or she will pick with anyone else (couples are excluded from this rule of course)

then, we each show up in our monochrome costumes of choice, massively layered/accessorized.....because.....

as the night goes on, we trade pieces of clothing/accessories with other previously monochrome DGNers to see how many colors we can collect

So we start monochrome, become rainbow, and leave "tie-dye".

I could actually go for that, although it would take a trip to St. Vinny's, Salvation Army and GoodWill
