C'mon, I know some of you must've seen this by now. What did you think?

GAH! Will be awhile before I get out to see it....

Oh, there are things in Ep. III you don't know about such as Yoda's wookie wife.

Personally, I thought it was awesome. I hate I & II, but totally grew up a Star Wars nerd. I went to the midnight showing last night.

The CGI was quite a bit more realistic than in II. I think this is largely due to better texturing and generally darker scenes, where it is easier to obfuscate obvious flaws in CGI.

The script was bad, but you know, Star Wars... has always had a bad script. The love sequences between Anakin and Padme are bad. But actually, Hayden did a better job in this movie than the previous one. He isn't going to win an Oscar or anything, but some of his scenes were convincing.

What was compelling to me was the fact that it felt like a Star Wars movie, where the previous two didn't, so much. There was the heavy good vs. evil conflicts, and it seemed a far more personal story. The previous two seemed more like a photo snap shot of that point in time in the galaxy's history.

Palpatine was awesome through out. Some of the Yoda dialogue was horrible. The different planet scenes were awesome. I personally thought Grevious was pretty cool. A cyborg weilding a bunch of light sabers is hip by me.

I mean, the original Star Wars wasn't exactly... I don't know. To me, Episode III seems pretty in sync with the OT, other than a few gripes here and there. I'm not sure what people were expecting.

The Star Wars fairy came and whisked me to see it tonight! I thought it was great too! Sure, it was cheezy, sure, the script was bad in parts.... IT'S STAR WARS! It was full of highly entertaining fan service, looked great and was more engaging and "fun" than I & II. I'll probably go see it again.

When I was little my dad would get hyper and either run around chasing us screaming like a Wookie, or wrap op in a bed sheet and make sand people noises... so yeah.. I'm a bred fan! *L*

Jon only saw Star Wars last year when a co-worker lent him the tapes.

I still can't get over that he doesn't WANT to see the rest.

I was 9 when it came out. Before the movie was even in theaters, you could buy t-shirts. I HAD to have one from the State Fair - I guess I was one of the first victims of Star Wars marketing.

Oh, by the way, me - Halloween 1977:

Thanks to my sister Kathy, the greatest kids costume maker in the world.

(And yes, I still have the costume, but no, it doesn't fit.)

episode I sucked my arse.....die!! JarJar die!! why?! didn't he just....DIE!!!!

episode II was slightly better.....I kinda liked the fight between Jango and Obiwan.

episode III....I was impressed, I liked it!

Much to my amazement I did really enjoy it, I expected it to be alot worse due to how much the first two sucked. Ok, there were a fair number of " thats kinda lame" comments on a few scenes. Yoda hoping around like a little green midget on speed for one, wtf does he need a cane to get around for? JarJar was simply not there, maybe just a small walk on by part, that was very good! So apparently the sith are soo evil they all have random cat eye's a blazing, eh they should have left that out.

Hey man no biggie. My 7 year old nephew (who lives with me) has made me watch all of them so much I'm not sure I want to see #III.

I think this movie was absolutley awsome!!! Very exciting....better than I & II definately. Don't get me wrong, I & II were great, but slow going and dull at parts. Episode III aws awsome all the way through it. Action packed all the way through! PLUS>......The Lava Planet was so rad! Great special Effects. I give it like 50 thumbs up! Grant it, I am a Star Wars Freakie Geek.

Well my gf HAS seen starwars and she hates every movie. Apparently I held her at gunpoint and made her see episode 3. Maybe you two could form and ant-SW club or something. lol

I saw it over the weekend. But if you've already seen it & want to get into the particulars of it, you might want to check out the spoiler thread in this same forum.
