Guest greyhalo Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I'm applying for two librarian positions out of state.
jynxxxedangel Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Break a fekkin' leg, 'lil momma.. Luck to you.

Ever move out of state? It's a pain in the ass..... LOL Both positions are in Texas. One's in Austin, a city I really like. The other one is in Arlington--not far from Dallas/Fort Worth. I applied for two jobs in Georgia earlier this year, but I never heard anything on them. They were both outside of Atlanta, a popular place to live these days. I lived in New Orleans for a few years. Moving sucks in general.

Brenda Starrr Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I cannot do that. It would mean that I'm happy to let you leave. You're too cool for other states.
jynxxxedangel Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 If you go to Austin, I can hook you right up into the "scene" there! A good girl friend of mine is a native. Austin is HAPPENING!!!!

Thanks. One of my old college friends has lived there for years. I do like that city. But, I will have a lot of competition for these jobs...
Eevee Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Goodluck! Hopefully we'll get to know each other at least a little more before you leave the state. We always run into each other in the bathroom at CC and that's it.

I can't find the type of job I want in Michigan because of how the public library systems are set up here. I'm also tired of Michigan weather.
Enishi Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Good luck! Be sure to keep in touch with us if and when you do find a good position.

I just meant for when you find your new job. We should have plenty of chances to hang out before them...I hope.

taysteewonderbunny Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Wishing you the best. Whatever the best is, I hope you find it, Austin or elsewhere.
Simon Bar Sinister Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 There's 2 kinds of luck, y'know. I'll stick to wishing you the good kind.
Homicidalheathen Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 No, your not allowed to move. (wishes you luck anyway)
Guest greyhalo Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 There's 2 kinds of luck, y'know. I'll stick to wishing you the good kind. You are correct, and thanks. I sure wish I was in TX today. At least I'd probably see the sun.
Der Nister Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 What kind of luck are you requesting? Good luck? Bad luck? Awesome luck? Sensational luck? Dumb luck? I would like to wish you luck but I need to know which kind you are seeking.
thewhiterecluse Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Best wishes to you! Don't get to overwhelmed by all the reading ;o) .
