What a night!!

It was great and amazing in so many ways. But I am a little sad that I was so drunk that I didn't get to really TALK to anyone and I didn't meet Joe Darque and I didn't dance much and I didn't really hear a lot of the music!! XDXD But I *did* get to do a lot of very fun things instead!!

I had to run around a LOT trying to avoid drama and whatnot, but I had an amazing time checking out all 3 locations and dancing to some motown and drinking some goddamn $1 tequila...for serious? $1? That's NOT GOOD!! (By which I mean it is awesome...I had a few...um...yeah)

I forgot to try the mimosa!!! DAMMIT!!!

Oh I'm just babbling right now. Sorry! I had a good night though! My god!

I danced a bit but not nearly so much as usual...plus I'm not sure whirling around drunkenly (probably off-beat) and falling on one's ass counts as dancing. I did dance a bit earlier on, and to a few songs in the ballroom!!

I did meet Joe? OOPS. Dammit. I wish I remembered that one! XDXD Nonetheless, it seriously was a good night!!

And of course I was at the cafe - I always am! I love that horrible little place!! :D:D:D

There was also the ballroom, right outside the doors by the bathrooms. Same floor as City, but outside. Coco was spinning real vinyl motown records. It was classy and awesome. I just wish the sound quality was better because I had a hard time making out the songs through the really bad quality system and my drunken haze! But it was pretty awesome anyway. I was spinning around in there in Harold's fur cuffs and I lost a bunch of my hairbows... Sadness... HAHA

But you found interesting areas that I missed!! But I sure am glad I didn't see those areas!!! XDXD

Great night, I got in lots of dancing and meet plenty of DGNers. I do wish I could have stayed longer though.

Also, thank heavens for the guy who helped me maneuver my car out of the parking lot. I wouldn't have been able to get past all the cars parked in the center of the aisle otherwise.

Actually, I have one more complaint... The e-mail that I received about this night said this:

ALCOHOL served till 4:00am ! ! !

DRINK SPECIALS starting @ ONLY $1 ALL NIGHT LONG ! ! !

A NYE favorite, the "CITY CLUB MIMOSA" is only $1 ALL NIGHT ! ! !

I went up to the bar at about 12:30 and asked for one of the $1 drinks. The bartender said, "no such thing, $4." I calmly explained that the e-mail mentioned a $1 drink that was going to be served all night. Those of you know me know that I am not a crabby b--ch, so I wouldn't complain about something like that right away. The guy said, "hold on, let me find out," and left me there...... for a whoppin' 15-20 minutes. He just disappeared. The guy behind me, Dave, asked what I ordered since it was taking so long. I mentioned the $1 drink to him, then a female bartended interrupted and said, "y'all got a dolla, leave the bar, shiiiiit. No such shit." I still kept my cool, but then I asked her,' what? Are you telling me that I can't read? I'm a fucking schoolteacher who can't read? Or did the e-mail flat-out lie to me? Huh?" only to have her ignore me. That was when the guy behind me, Dave, felt bad for me and bought me a small mixed drink. I gave up and left with the mixed drink. I'm sorry, but that's frickin' ridiculous that the e-mail mentioned a $1, then all of the bartenders had to be extremely rude about it and tell me that there was no such thing, like I'm a drunken idiot who can't read. I even went to Bishop and askde him about it, and he said, "I don't know. I didn't hear about anything like that. If there was such a thing, they probably ran out of it." I'm thankful that he gave me a polite answer, but I'm still disappointed that the club advertised something like that and every single bartender was clueless.

I'm not trying to make a big deal out of this, because it didn't ruin my night or anything. I wasn't going to drink $1 all night long, I just wanted to try it for the hell of it. My complaint is that the club needs to get their shit straight, that's all. If anyone here knows the people who send out the e-mail, could you please mention this to them? I'm just trying to give them positive feedback so that next New Year's is even better for everyone.

It was an awesome and crazy night, I met a few ppl from DGN but I ended up heading up to our party room about 1am where my party continued till about 8 am... lol After a half gallon of Jager and some other goodies everyone was doing pretty good. A great NY for everyone involved.

That does suck. I think the mimosa was supposed to be $1. I wanted to try some but forgot all about it. I did have some freakin $1 tequila from downstairs and it was awesome. AWESOME.

It does suck that they didn't have the $1 mimosa. Honestly, City does this kind of shit it seems... but we still love them. It's a really unreliable place, and I think I've already learned never to trust them with what they say - the diner was supposed to have a "new year's special", but it was just a normal item on the menu for normal price...in other words, no special. But I don't care, whatever dudes. I just wish people wouldn't advertise shit and then not have it. But it's not just City - I've found that Chaos events are 10000 times worse than City for this consistently. Oh well. I guess you just can't rely too much on things like that and just chillax with whatever they DO have, because it's still an awesome time. But I think everyone would be happier if they didn't advertise things they didn't have... >.>
