Yes, Birmingham is close to Royal Oak. Birmingham is really nice too. One of the weathier places in the area.

People who have actually lived in the area for more than 6 months probably have some much better advice for you about where to stay =)

I've been considering this possibility. Wayne's going to New Orleans in August, and I'm thinking that I don't feel like sitting around. If I come up alone, will some victi...I mean friend pick me up from the airport, take me to the hotel, take me out with them, hold my hair back when I vomit, etc? We'll still come up together in September, but I was hoping to do some shots for the DGN calendar and get fitted for one of Nienna's corsets as well during my trip in August.

What do you think? All input will be appreciated and considered.

There is a Travelodge on Woodward in R.O., and it's close to a white castle, it is a travelers dream...oh, and a bunch of other restaurants & 5 minutes from Luna.

There is a Travelodge on Woodward in R.O., and it's close to a white castle, it is a travelers dream...oh, and a bunch of other restaurants & 5 minutes from Luna.

If you insist on a hotel, there's a bunch of reasonably nice stuff. (Courtyard Mariott, etc) in Southfield, which is just west of Ferndale/Royal Oak/Birmingham. They are right off major roads and highways.. (Telegraph Rd. Lodge Fwy, and I696)

Depending on if I have my daughters here or not, I can put you up at my place in they're room or a futon couch/bed. Depends if your comfortable with that or not. Depends also (as I said before) if I'm still here or not.
