Personally I'd rather stay home, play my own music, and jerk off than go to City Club. I'd get more satisfaction out of the night and less chance of catching something that way.

110% positive that they were a bartender, 1 person at the rail (customer wise), bar properly staffed at the time. either way it's flogging a dead horse. whats done is done.

Our bartenders, just like EVERYONE else in the service industry make their $$$ in the tips our Guests are kind enough to give them for good service.

LCC, the DGN poster, is NOT a building at ALL!

City isn't that bad...if you only go to CC for the mass of people and the drunkenness, then yes...it can kind of suck. I prefer CC over other places on Friday.

There's less people, sure.

But more room to dance and you can just chill if you want.

Really if it is Jeremy/Void 6 posting then that's awesome. However I think he should post as himself and not the collective voice of some venue. He's a great person and DJ. I can't really blame him for DJ'ing at that venue either since most DJs out there would give their left testicle to give their right testicle to DJ there, except me.

I don't see DGN as a home to "flame" wars and I will not participate in such.

I like the people here on DGN, which is why I was happy to help with planning birthday parties and the very FUN DGN Appreciation night.

I just also LOVE CITY CLUB very much. I have been a regular there for many years, as has the rest of our team.

I have made many Friends that I see having for a lifetime and feel blessed for meeting them.

ALL of those Extraordinary people I would have met NO WHERE ELSE ! ! !

I still don't get why Troy doesn't get kickbacks for having his night there, or at least a free drink now and then. Maybe a thanks from the owner or manager would even be nice.

Maybe they could spend some cash on a new sound system instead of that blown POS they try to pass off week after week. Good music played through substandard equipment makes me not happy.

I saw when I was there Saturday that they had table cloths on the tables past the bar, that will more than likely just be ruined soon. I don't think the place needed tablecloths.

You should tell Mike/Cybil to make it so I willingly want to go back, and the community has pride in the place. But they really don't care.

Sure there are some upgrades... now that the economy is bad and they have to fight for our business.

Yeah, there are some things about City that are less than perfect...there are a few that are outright disgusting. But it's still a damned good time, and we've got it pretty good. I'm so so happy that we have City. When I first came, my first night, I was astounded by a lot of things. The lack of effort in appearance, the dirtiness, the skankiness, the style of dancing, the nakedness, a lot of things.

But you know? I got over my initial dislike of things that are different and my initial displeasure, and found that behind the layer of grime there are a lot of layers of awesome.

We can go every single week. It's free on Fridays. The drinks are cheap and amazing. The people are good people. It's different from some other places, but every place has its own atmosphere. I love City. It's a damned good time, and a really good place. I'm not saying there's no room for improvement, but I think to write it off so completely is just kinda...shortsighted. Sure, it's not everyone's style, but it's not as bad as most people make it out to be.

I hate to have to do this and wish that we could all get along and debate about nightclubs in a constructive manner, yet I believe that this thread is beating a dead horse.

Everyone who thinks CC is crap will probably always continue to believe that CC is crap, and rightfully so.

Although the thread started out as something that could be potentially constructive, it is now seemingly going no place, there has already been a case of "outing", people are rightfully asking for it to be closed, and the the last several comments are a definate set-up for an anti-constructive harshly worded flame war, which is not the type of thing that we condone or promote here on DGN.
