aequorea Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 here's the plan: anyone who's interested and available would gather one sunday a month to learn/teach/work on crafty sorts of things. the first session would probably be a sewing machine how-to session. i would be willing to host, and i could probably fit 8-10 people in the basement crafty space. no experience needed, it would be good to have a wide range of abilities! i am proficient in hand-sewing, operating a sewing machine, and knitting, but i am by no means an expert! i would be able to get newbies started and hopefully learn from others as we go along. i would suggest sunday february 1 for the first one. i live in downtown royal oak (main and 13) who's interested?
Eevee Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I'm interested. But I have no skills whatsoever, rofl
TheOsakaKoneko Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I can try to make it! I think it'd be a lot of fun. I need external motivation keeping me at the machine...

HOORAY! that will be helpful because i KNOW you have skills! also... as for sewing machines, i imagine some people might want to bring their own, but it is by no means necessary.

thewhiterecluse Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 My mom has a sewing machine. Ask her if you can borrow it! Mine was passed down because my mom felt the need to get a new one when her old one was only 2 years old lol. She was going to show me how to use it but she didn't have time when her and the family came up from TN to visit. I had to work like everyday, llllaaammmeee.
thewhiterecluse Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 The one I have is made by Roebuck and Co. I don't know if thats good or bad?
